Man I love this ad. Funny, memorable, and more importantly, to the point.
Mattie Fein is running against an entrenched Marxist-democrat, Jane Harman, whose husband Sidney Harman just purchased Newsweek. Harman, from California's District 36, obviously has a dollar advantage, but ads like this will most certainly help get Mattie some attention and get her message out there.
Harman has a lot of ethics issues, but owning part of a company that is selling sensitive materials to Iran is probably at the top of the heap. She's also on board with all of the Obama regime's disasterous policies, and is pushing for big cuts in military spending at one of the most dangerous times in world history. It won't be easy, but Jane Harman is most definitely one of the Marxist-democrats who need to be shown the door in November.
Mattie Fein has a well rounded resume, and a solid understanding of how both business and government opperate. From her website:
Mattie Fein has a wealth of experience in national and international policy and media. She was an Associate Producer at CNBC and creator of public television’s educational programming for children that promoted cultural awareness and literacy. She has developed strategy for The Washington Times’ Insight Magazine. Her clients have included presidents and CEOs in industries ranging from hotels to tourism to defense, labor, law and firms in Washington, D.C., New York, and London.
Ms. Fein has been a contributor to the Financial Times and CBS MarketWatch and has served as a frequent guest on the BBC regarding Argentine political and economic affairs. Her opinions have been published in publications including the Miami Herald. She was invited by the Foreign Policy Institute of Turkey and Bilkent University to speak about democratic Elections in Iraq, women’s issues in Muslim countries, and human rights.
As a Vice President of The Lichfield Group, Ms. Fein has advised companies and non-governmental organizations on a broad range of issues, including Net Neutrality, the Henry J. Hyde United States and India Nuclear Promotion Act of 2006 to fortify a strategic partnership between the two secular democracies, and the preparation of indictments on war crimes and genocide against Tamil civilians and victims of war crimes in Sri Lanka.
Ms. Fein has served as Communications Director for the American Freedom Agenda, an organization devoted to restoring checks and balances and protections against government abuses. She also was performing the same duties for a new sister organization, The First Branch. Its central mission is to defend and assert congressional prerogatives and responsibilities from presidential usurpation, and to educate voters of the necessity of supporting congressional candidates who will not surrender vital powers over war and peace, taxing and spending or control of information about what the government is doing and why.
As a youth, Ms. Fein was active in theater and the arts and was granted early admission to university on scholarship. She has continued to be actively involved in the arts and dance. She was involved in the oldest women's theater group in the country at Horizons Theatre, which won the Helen Hayes Award for Best New Play.
In addition, Ms. Fein is an avid horsewoman. She has been involved in humanitarian charities within the community that assist third-world countries in education and health programs. She has been a supporter of therapeutic riding for physically and mentally handicapped children, introduced therapeutic riding into international games, and sponsored children from Haiti with special needs.
Ms. Fein resides in Venice, and has three children: a son, 24, who is an actor; a daughter, 20, studying biology and zoology; and a daughter, 14.
Pretty solid resume. As we say all of the time, ever Marxist-democrat, in every election, at every level needs to be defeated. With that said, if you are looking for someone to throw some support behind, Mattie Fein is worth the effort. She is definitely a Mama Grizzly.
