Rush On Media Bias: Imagine President Palin Doing This!
Rush is in rare form here as he goes after Obama, Holder, and the media.
As you know, President Obama, along with his stooge ...er... Attorney General, Eric Holder, have decided, own their own, that the Defense of Marriage Act, legislation legally passed by Congress, and signed into law by Bill Clinton, is now somehow "unconstitutional" and they will no longer enforce it.
DOMA, for those that don't know, allows states that do not allow gay marriage to decide whether or not they want to recognize such relationships within their own state's border. This doesn't say a state can't choose to allow gay marriage, it simply says other state's can choose not to recognize them. That is consistent with federalism, and the Constitution, as each state is sovereign, and has it's rights protected by the 10th Amendment.
Now as we all know, the President, nor the Attorney General have the legal authority to declare something "unconstitutional." Nor do they have the authority to pick and choose which laws they will enforce. As Attorney General, Erick Holder is the nation's top law enforcement officer, and duty bound to enforce ALL of the laws. Of course, in reality we already know he refuses to enforce civil rights and voters' rights laws, so this is strike three, for those keeping score.
Only the Judicial branch of government can legally declare a law unconstitutional. The Executive or Legislative branch cannot. The President can't pick and choose, and just ignore laws he doesn't like. This is the sort of thing a corrupt dictator in a banana republic would come up with.
In the video Rush points out that the media has been silent on this extra-constitutional power grab by Obama, something that borders on an impeachable offense. If you do a little searching, you'll find stories from the "mainstream" media actually PRAISING this move by Obama.
So here we are. If this is the new standard, what will the media, and the democrats say when President Palin decides abortion is unconstitutional? Will they praise her for her "innovative" handling of the situation? Some how I doubt it. What if [God forbid] ObamaCare still exists when she takes office? OK, that's a bad example because a judge already HAS declared ObamaCare unconstitutional!
Come to think of it, since the Obama regime is still pressing ahead on ObamaCare, he's actually in contempt of court! That's nothing new either, as his offshore ban on oil exploration has also been overturned, numerous times, and he is defying that as well.
You get the idea. There are any number of laws that make little sense that President Palin could declare "unconstitutional." Now I could live in a country smart enough to elect President Palin, but I couldn't live in a country dumb enough to allow ANY president, even President Palin, that sort of power.
At this point, one could reasonably conclude Barack Obama doesn't actually care about anything as silly as the Rule of Law.

Rush: Sarah Palin Would Wipe The Floor With Obama!
The Left is terrified of [Sarah Palin]. The Left knows that she would wipe the floor with Obama. Our intelligentsia on the Right-Wing know that she would wipe the floor with Obama. That’s what all of this means. …
The point of this is that if Republicans are going to sit by and watch Palin savaged, they’d better be prepared to sit by and watch the next one get savaged; and the next one because that’s what’s coming.
Rush was in great form today as he went off on squishy Republicans who don't have the backbone to stand for something. He's reading from a great piece posted at Legal Insurrection entitled We Just Witnessed The Media's Test-Run To Re-elect Obama that points out the over-the-top attacks on Sarah Palin are little more than an exercise, war games, if you will, for 2012. The article also takes down well known squish, and political dullard, David Frum.

Frum is one of the squishes who claims to be a "conservative" but attacks every real Conservative, especially Sarah Palin, and supports more "progressive" policies. His latest nonsense is we need to nominate someone like Bob Dole, not Sarah Palin, you know, because Bob Dole was such a powerhouse in 1996!
The Frummian wing of the Republican Party always wants to put up some squish that has absolutely zero chances of winning. Sad. Really sad.
Rush rips him a new one. He also touches on something that can't be said enough. If the left is successful in taking down Sarah Palin, then no Republican candidate will ever survive.
We see it all of the time. The squishes say Sarah has been savaged by the media so we need to put up someone the media will like. Someone they won't be so hard on.
We tried that in 2008. John McCain, bless his heart, was the left's "favorite Republican." He was the darling of the late night talk shows, and had lefties proclaiming that if only John McCain could be our nominee, THAT was a Republican they could get behind. And as the GOP is want to do, they fell for it, and those same people who were "in love" with John, savaged him after he was the nominee.
This is what the left does. They play nice with who they think are easy prey. They build them up, write glowing reviews, do a real sell job. Then once their choice of opponent is chosen, they open with both barrels.
Here's the thing, we've seen who has the real guts in the Republican Party. The one that never backs down. The one who is always on the offense. That's Sarah Palin. Lost in all of the hoopla about blood libel the left conducted against her, is the fact that the left also blood libeled the 30-40 million Americans who call themselves members of the Tea Party.
Only one person stood up and defended those millions of patriotic Americans, and that was Sarah Palin. She stood up and took all of the slings and arrows that she knew would come her way for doing so. Where were the rest?
In fairness, Mike Huckabee made a short statement, but the rest, Romney, Daniels, and so forth, hid under their desks. Establishment hacks like Newt Gingrich, Charles Krauthammer, and others, basically told Sarah to sit down, shut up, and take her beating. They actually thought she was wrong to defend herself after being accused of mass murder!
The reason why the left fears her, and Rush rightly points out that Sarah will wipe the floor with Obama, is the fact she is fearless. She doesn't care about what the chattering class has to say. She's more interested in saving the Republic.
That, and unlike the rest, I don't think Sarah Palin is impressed by Barack Obama in any way shape or form.
The attacks against her are without a doubt some of the most vile in our nation's history. The only thing I've seen close is the way the left attacked Ronald Reagan. They feared him as well. So did the GOP elites.
Like Reagan before her, Sarah Palin represents the end of business as usual in Washington. She's even more of a problem for the Ruling Class than Reagan, because she is an experienced reformer with a solid reputation of cleaning up corruption at every level. Both the left, and the GOP elites, lose big time if Sarah is elected.
Rush's last point though is the most important. And the people who support someone else, rather than Sarah need to remember this. While those who hope someone besides Sarah is our nominee sit back and enjoy the attacks on her, they need to remember one thing. Sarah Palin is probably the toughest candidate the GOP has ever had. She's certainly the toughest in my life time. She never backs down.
If somehow the left is successful at stopping Sarah Palin, a woman of extraordinary courage and strength, the rest of the Republican Party is done. They will never have a chance, because none of them could stand up to what Sarah Palin stands up to on a daily basis. And if the left is able to make this work, they will use it on every other Republican until the end of time.
The good news is this: The left have thrown absolutely everything they have at Sarah Palin, and she's still standing. Still fighting. Still moving forward. That's what true leaders do.

The Latest Polling Explained
Lots of bogus polling out there lately. We've been working on a comprehensive guide to understanding polls, and how to spot a bogus poll from a credible one. In the mean time, Rush talks about the latest polls concerning Barack Obama and Sarah Palin. He's on a roll, but starts explaining the problems at 2:14 on the video.
One of the real problems, other than the reliability of the sample group: "adults" vs "likely voters" is the fact the new polling doesn't tell you the political breakdown. In other words, the percentage of Republicans, Independents, and democrats polled.
All legitimate polls will have, buried somewhere deep in the internals, this break down. Almost all over-sample democrats, even though fewer people claim to be democrats than Republicans or Independents. This pollster is notorious for it.They do this because they are looking for a certain result.
Any poll that doesn't publish it's breakdown should be disregarded as meaningless. We notice a lot of polls concerning Sarah Palin never publish their internals at all, let alone the political break down. I wonder why.
As Rush points out, the same pollster who put out this bogus polling also put out one that claimed the public was quite pleased with the nonsense that went on during the lame duck session of the 111th Congress, where the democrats shoved bills through that no one wanted.
Yeah, that's why there are several bills circulating now through Congress to ban lame duck sessions altogether. That's how pleased America was with the democrats lame duck session!
The truth is, these polls aren't designed to measure public opinion, they are designed to SHAPE public opinion. To create a headline out of whole cloth. To create a narrative. It's an old trick that sadly, many people fall for.

Rush Limbaugh: I Really Admire Sarah Palin
On Monday night Rush Limbaugh called into Greta's show and discussed a the Tea Party and the destruction the Obama regime has brought to our nation. He also talks about the strong conservative women we have running for office this year.
At the end of the interview Greta kinda puts Rush on the spot by asking which politician he admires the most. At first Rush seems to side step the question, not wanting to play favorites.
With that said, Rush then goes into great detail about how much he admires Sarah, and why. He also reminds listeners that the left will always tell you who they fear the most.
This is nothing new for Rush though, as he has always had high praise for her. Rush, who is no fan of John McCain, took to calling him "John McBrilliant" as soon as he announced Sarah was the vice presidential pick.
The entire interview is great. A must listen.

Rush Limbaugh Talks Tea, The Republican Establishment, And Sarah Palin
This is great video from Rush’s Thursday show. Here he talks about having to defend the Tea Party and Sarah Palin to some people, who want leaders and hate the establishment, but don’t really have the sense to know leadership when they see it.
It’s interesting to hear him talk about absolutely losing it with people in his own home who would rather believe the corrupt media’s caricature of Sarah Palin, rather than the truth. (Man I know that feeling!)
Rush has been a strong supporter of Sarah’s. As long time listeners know, Rush is not known to show John McCain a whole lot of love. In fact, he’s been a regular whipping boy for years. When McCain announced Sarah was going to be his running mate, Rush began calling him "John McBrilliant."
Rush saw what all of us saw, right from the start. Sarah Palin is the real deal.
One piece of wisdom Rush leaves us with: The left always tells you who they fear the most. It’s not hard to figure out, just by the intensity of the left’s attacks on Sarah, that she lives in their heads rent free, and they fear her the most.

Rush & I Thank Dear Leader Barack Obama

As I wrote earlier, our glorious Dear Leader, Barack Obama was quite upset that his "subjects" weren’t falling at his feet and thanking him profusely for his awesome stewardship of the nation.
Sensing Obama’s distress, Rush Limbaugh decided to thank our Dear Leader for all of the "blessings" he has bestowed upon us, the American people:
If ever a time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin.

A dear friend reminded me last night of that quote by Samuel Adams. It serves to remind us that our founders fought a revolution to rid this nation of a tyrannical ruler who operated without regard for the rule of law, parliament, or the wishes and desires of his people.
Our founders knew all too well that the American people must be forever vigilant, in order to preserve the Freedom and Liberty they sacrificed so much for, in the founding of this great nation.
I’m also reminded of something Ronald Reagan once said, something that is often echoed by another great leader, Sarah Palin:
Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.
As we are now realizing, we are living in the times leaders like Samuel Adams and Ronald Reagan feared. We have a Marxist megalomaniac in the White House and an out of control, and incredibly corrupt, Congress at his beck and call.
No one in the Obama regime cares about the Constitution or the Rule of Law. All the Obama regime cares about is gaining, and retaining, more and more power over the American people and feathering the beds of their cronies, at the expense of the American people. America, and her people, be damned!
All is not lost yet though. We still have plenty of time to reverse this dangerous course and regain control of our country. We can drive the radical Marxist-democrat party from power and restore the United States to a Constitutional Representative Republic.
We can restore individual rights and the rights of the sovereign states, while at the same time dismantling the Big Government-Industrial-Union Complex. It won’t be easy. In fact...it will be incredibly hard...but for America to survive, we have no other choice.
So let me just end this by saying thank you Dear Leader, thank you, Oh Lord, Barack Obama. You have awakened the sleeping giant from a long deep slumber. November is coming and we won’t be fooled again!

Rush Limbaugh: Sarah Palin’s Book Is "Truly One Of The Most Substantive Policy Books I've Read"
Was listening live when I heard el Rushbo say this. Rush was announcing that he had interviewed Sarah Palin for the upcoming issue of his popular Limbaugh Letter.
Here’s a transcript of Friday’s show. Limbaugh also announced that he would interview Sarah live on the air Tuesday in the second hour of his show which will be 1 pm Eastern noon Central across the EIB Network.
BEGIN TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: Yesterday afternoon, ladies and gentlemen, I interviewed Governor Palin for the upcoming issue of the Limbaugh Letter. It will be our cover story. I think it was the first time other than an interview with me -- sometimes I do interview myself in the newsletter because the best questions I ever get asked are the ones I ask myself. But she's the cover story, she's the interview, and she will be here live on the radio next Tuesday, the day her book is released, at the top of the second hour. I talked to her yesterday, I've got the book, I have it right over there and I've had a chance, I just got it a couple days ago, three days ago, and I've had a chance to go through it, and I made a prediction to her when I talked to her yesterday. I said, "You've got enough in here that people who get hold of this, like the AP or any of the State-Controlled Media, they're gonna focus on the soap opera aspects of your book, and they're going to ignore what is truly one of the most substantive policy books I've read."
This woman, Governor Palin, clearly is jazzed by policy, particularly environmental policy and energy policy, as well as taxes and so forth. I talked to her about the future of the Republican Party, what she thought about New York-23, how she deals with the character assassination, not just of herself, but of her entire family. It was fascinating, and we'll do it again on Tuesday afternoon at one o'clock eastern time. She sent out a message here on Facebook: "'Keep Your Powder Dry' -- As you probably have heard, the AP snagged a copy of my memoir, Going Rogue, before its Tuesday release. And as is expected, the AP and a number of subsequent media outlets are erroneously reporting the contents of the book. Keep your powder dry, read the book, and enjoy it! Lots of great stories about my family, Alaska, and the incredible honor it was to run alongside Senator John McCain. We can't wait to hit the road and meet so many on the book tour! See you in Michigan first." That's Sarah Palin's post -- her reacting.
One of the things the AP is focusing on is nonsense. I should have printed out the AP story. I didn't do it. Rather than try to paraphrase it I'll find it during the break. (interruption) Well, not going after her son-in-law? You mean this Levi? He's not her son-in-law, but no, she doesn't mention him. She doesn't mention him in the book. Nobody can stop talking about this guy, this Levi Johnston, but she doesn't mention him in the book. She's pretty open and honest about being locked up and confined and not allowed to be herself by certain people in the McCain campaign, Nicolle Wallace who set her up with the Katie Couric interview. You know, I told you that I had some friends in town last week and I blew my stack again when one of them started asking me questions about Sarah Palin based on media reports. This guy brought up the Palin-Katie Couric interview and that's when I started throwing the napkin. I said, "Don't you know what happened there?"
Nicolle Wallace, who used to work at CBS, pushed that interview on Couric to help Couric. Couric's numbers were in the tank, and she told Palin some things that were not true, and most of that interview ended up on the cutting room floor. The substance of the interview, it was a total setup, a total setup. "Well, why didn't she know that?" She was on a leash. When you read this book, you'll find that they dressed her. She wanted to wear her clothes. They started this whole controversy about paying for the clothes, were they donated, this kind of thing. They would not let her mention, they wouldn't let her give a shout-out to George Bush during the campaign for keeping the country safe after 9/11. They wouldn't let her make a concession speech alongside McCain the night that he gave what many thought was his best speech of the campaign.
There are many other instances of stuff inside the campaign that I think will help people understand what the real problem or series of problems was. I mean she really dishes it out at Steve Schmidt, who was the campaign manager. They wouldn't let her go back and talk to the press on the campaign plane. I woulda gone nuts had I been in that position, that muzzled and that directed. But, you know, she's not hard on McCain. She talks about it was an honor serving with him as his vice presidential nominee. Anyway, you'll learn all of this when you read the book, it's going to come out to Tuesday. It's going to set sales records, it already has. One-and-a-half million printing is what's the original, and it's going to go higher than that.

As usual, Rush is right. Mark Halperin of Time Magazine is out there chirping: "Don't look for hefty policy prescriptions." [ in Sarah’s book] I think I’ll trust Rush Limbaugh over Halperin.
