Jedediah Bila: Hey Pundits, How About We Talk About Sarah Palin's Record?

By Gary P Jackson

Jedediah Bila takes on the chattering class in a big way. She challenges them to talk about Sarah Palin's actually record, instead of the ridiculous nonsense they are talking about now. It should be noted that she's talking to the Republican Establishment™.

While some pundits are busy calling Sarah Palin thin-skinned, claiming that there is "no space for her" in the 2012 race and incessantly speculating about her potential announcement date, some of us are sitting by laughing, sufficiently amused by typical establishment tactics that have grown tired, old and frankly a little boring.

In a previous column, Jedediah talks about attending a Manhattan cocktail party, filled with hard core lefties. They are quite worried and know that Sarah can win it all, and they understand why.

I'm amazed that it's been "" for Sarah Palin to enter the race for oh, about four months now. Funny how it wasn't "too late" for the establishment's favorite son Rick Perry to enter, and no one has said it was too late for Paul Ryan, Chris Christie, Rudy Giuliani, or anyone else. That rule only applies to Sarah Palin, no one else. Hmmm.

Jedediah goes on to list what we really need to be discussing. Here are just a few of them:

As governor in 2007, Palin was responsible for the largest veto totals in state history, while investing $1 billion in forward-funding education and fulfilling public safety and infrastructure necessities.

1. Palin invested $5 billion in state savings during a time of economic surplus.

2. Palin reduced spending by 9.5% from 2007 to 2010 and slashed earmark requests by over 80% during her time as governor.

3. Under Palin, Alaska’s total liabilities were reduced by 34.6% overall.

4. As governor, Palin was the CEO of the state and had substantial authority. As reported by The Wall Street Journal, "In Alaska, the Governor has line-item veto power over the budget and can only be overridden by a three-quarters majority of the Legislature."

Jedediah has much more, read it all here.

We all know why the Establishment™ [in both parties] don't want to talk about Governor Sarah Palin's record. Not even Mayor Sarah Palin's record. Both independently and separately, either record shows more ability and success than Barack Obama or any of the current Republican candidates could ever muster.

If we talk about Sarah Palin's actual 20 year record, instead of all of the media created nonsense, it's all over for Obama, the other GOP candidates, and more importantly, the Republican Establishment™. And just like those ladies in Manhattan, they know it too.

Jedediah Bila Reveals Manhattan Lefties Know The Real Sarah Palin, Know She Can Win and Why

By Gary P Jackson

Jedediah Bila finds herself at an Upper East Side cocktail party, rubbing elbows with the liberals that inhabit Manhattan. As she writes, this happened on the same day it was announced Sarah Palin was headed to Iowa in September for the Restoring America rally.

This is fascinating stuff:

Last week I attended a cocktail party on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. It’s an unfortunate part of life every now and then for this prefer-a-basketball-game-and-soft-pretzel New Yorker. With that being said, any opportunity to mingle with members of New York City’s left-wing elite serves to provide both a wealth of amusement and—quite often—column-worthy entertainment.

This particular party happened to occur the same day it was revealed that Sarah Palin will be keynoting a tea party rally in Iowa on September 3. So, Palin came up quite a bit. What did some of Manhattan’s finest lefties have to say about her?

Here are the top five sentiments that were expressed throughout the two hours I lasted (special thanks to the veggies and dip for keeping me there long enough to overhear this fun):

5. SHE’S SCARY BECAUSE SHE’LL ACTUALLY DO WHAT SHE SAYS. That’s right, folks. They know she’s the real deal. They know that if she says it, she means it. And that scares the living daylights out of them.

4. SHE’S WAY TOO LIKABLE. They admittedly fell in love with Barack Obama’s charisma, and they know darn well that the only person in the GOP field who can match that—or, dare I say, surpass it—is Palin. P.S.—When someone brought up Mitt Romney, many found that awfully funny.

3. SHE’S NOT AFRAID TO SPEAK HER MIND. Palin’s fearlessness is what unnerves them the most. This group was all too excited for a "more subdued," "less nervy" 2012 Republican alternative.
2 SHE’S "ANNOYINGLY REGULAR" AND PEOPLE LOVE IT. The fact that Palin would never fit in at their cocktail parties is a plus, and they know it.

1. SHE CAN WIN. "What do you think would’ve happened if Palin had been calling the shots in 2008?" I asked. One poor gentleman looked like he’d seen a ghost. "I think we could very well have had a President Palin," he replied.

Read more here.

We all know the left-wing talking points about Sarah, and we also know the left will show who you who they really fear, by who they attack and who they let slide. You notice there is no "Stop Mitt Romney [or Michele Bachmann] or we'll all die!" campaign out there.

The attacks on Sarah Palin have been the worst in modern political history. The fear of a President Palin, and the prospect of losing power forever, drives the Ruling Class [in both parties] insane.

The establishment knows Sarah Palin's real record as the Chief Executive in Alaska. They know she is capable of rallying the entire nation to fundamentally restore our government to a Constitutional Republic.

They know how she has fought corruption at every level, and how she got the run-away Alaska government under control in short order. They know she accomplished more in her three years as Governor than most will in a lifetime, and they know those are positive accomplishments.

The liberals at Jedediah's party just showed their hand. Now it's up to us to make their worst fears come true, and elect Sarah Palin in 2012!

Jedediah Bila Posts Sarah Palin's Presidential Resume

By Gary P Jackson

In her weekly Human Events column Jedediah Bila writes the qualifications she expects a our next President to have:

Here's What YOU Need To Be Our Next GOP President

Conservatives can agree that President Obama must be a one-term President. America simply cannot afford more of his destructive policies. But what are the traits of the ideal GOP candidate who can defeat him?

(10) Someone with rock-solid executive experience. If you have successfully balanced budgets and conducted common-sense cost-benefit analysis, you’re already two up on our President.

If you have acquired your understanding of the free market and the effects of tax policy and overregulation via the ups and downs of your very own business, you’ve far surpassed our President’s ivory tower knowledge base.

(9) Someone with a strong and consistent conservative record. If you have significantly reduced spending in your city/state, invested in city/state savings, advocated for the protection of the 10th amendment, lowered taxes, generated a city/state surplus via fiscally responsible policy, and incentivized job creation, you are the perfect contrast to President Obama’s big-government, tax-and-spend, job-killing, bankrupt-our-country agenda.

(8) Someone who has persistently highlighted the President’s poor policy decisions. If you have been an outspoken voice against ObamaCare, the President’s disastrous energy policy, his class-warfare mentality, his lack of strong foreign policy leadership, and his complete aversion to fiscal discipline, you have a proven commitment to standing up to the Obama agenda. And that’s precisely what the GOP needs in 2012.

(7) Someone who is gutsy. When it comes to 2012, wimps need not apply. The GOP candidate who can defeat Barack Obama is one willing to respectfully, but boldly, counter his platitude-heavy, fictional discourse with, "Actually, Mr. President, that’s not what you did."

Political figures with a history of bravely taking on the Left and the GOP in the name of upholding conservative principles are sure to draw a prominent line between our President’s contrasting record and rhetoric, which is an absolute must.

(6) Someone who connects with the American people, and who is also connected to his or her own words. There is nothing worse than a politician who talks at you, not to you … or one whose tone doesn’t vary when he/she addresses topics as diverse as unemployment, natural disaster, and American exceptionalism.

Barack Obama’s ideal challenger will have the unique ability to bypass the media and the distractions, and to speak directly to the American people. The optimal GOP candidate will have an authentic connection to his/her own words and won’t be aloof and detached, but approachable and involved.

[ .... ]

So, there you have it. Will most GOP candidates possess the majority of these traits? No, but some will come close. And there just might be one of you out there who has them all.

While Jedediah doesn't mention her by name, this is indeed Sarah Palin's record. Read the rest of the Top 5 Must Have Qualities here.

We think you'll agree, Sarah Palin hits every mark.

Jedediah Bila: Setting the Palin Record Straight

One of our favorite writers, Jedediah Bila, takes on the left and the Republican establishment in her latest column at Human Events. Here she hammers those who would talk trash about Sarah Palin!

It’s truly astonishing the lengths that some will go to in order to try to discredit Sarah Palin. Sure, the left-wing media loons are a given, but what about the folks on the Right who relentlessly brand her as unelectable, unintelligent, unpresidential, and/or unqualified? What is their basis for those assessments? And if she is so darn unelectable—why the need to consistently, near-obsessively attempt to tear her down?

What’s most interesting about the repeated attacks on Palin – from the Left and the Right – is that they are routinely empty. They are often featured in online hit pieces that are void of any reference to her record and/or her contributions over the past two years to discussions of national and international significance. They focus on absurd criticism of her TLC series, which so many elitists deemed anti-intellectual and so many regular Americans deemed relatable.

They call her a "quitter" because she resigned from the governorship, but don’t reveal the reality that she was faced with numerous frivolous ethics charges made by political operatives that were costing her state hundreds of thousands of dollars and her staff countless hours to refute. The fact that she made the right decision for Alaska, and that the charges were all ultimately dismissed, get buried under the frenzied need some have to try to sabotage her at all costs.

And let’s not forget the manner in which the authors of these hit pieces so often compile every possible negative quotation on Palin they can find, particularly from the mouths of whom they consider to be the conservative intellectual elite. The quotes are typically nonsensical and/or erroneous, and mark embarrassing moments for those who uttered them, as they tend to reflect a complete lack of awareness of Palin’s accomplishments, writings, and outspoken stand on policy initiatives.

Since September 2010 alone, Sarah Palin has penned commentary on such topics as the unrest in Libya, the protests in Wisconsin, Obama’s 2012 budget proposal and State of the Union address, getting tough with Iran and standing with Iranians who seek democracy, challenging the specifics of President Obama’s energy policy, the omnibus spending bill, defeating the New START, opposition to state bailouts, tax policy, a message to Republican freshmen in Congress, opposition to quantitative easing, and more.

She has repeatedly been a leading voice—via television appearances and speaking engagements—against the dangers of ObamaCare and the risks of President Obama’s approach to energy. During the 2010 election season, SarahPAC endorsed 81 candidates across the country. Let’s take a look at a few samples of Palin’s written commentary ....

Jedediah is just getting warmed up! Check out the rest of her column here.

Jedediah Bila: No Time to Give Up on the Budget

A must read from Jedediah Bila:

Newly elected conservatives, it’s time for you all to speak up and do the job you were elected to do. We want to see courage. We want to see a willingness to tell party leaders "no thanks" if they just don’t get it, and to take heat from the media and the establishment in order to do what’s right. And you must remember to communicate with the American people and to refute false claims made by both Democrats and many in the media elite.

To those in the GOP who prefer pandering to the Left, "compromising" even when it’s in America’s worst interest, and criticizing true conservative leaders who take a stand, what exactly are your priorities?

RINOs and those interested in politics as usual, you’re out of touch. Principled conservatives in the House and Senate, get to work. There’s no time to waste.

Jedediah Bila: "Send Obama to Wasilla to talk to an energy expert!"

This is delicious. While appearing on Fox Business News' Nightly Scoreboard Monday night, Jedediah Bila offered up some solid advice: Send Obama up to Wasilla, Alaska and have Sarah Palin school him in the fine art of drill baby, drill!

It just so happens, Whitney Pitcher reports that Sarah called Obama out, big time, on Tuesday, saying that Obama was "scary wrong" on oil and gas policy. Whitney put together an incredible report on just how much oil and natural gas is available in Alaska as well as the rest of the United States. Check Whitney's report here.

Jedediah Bila: Sarah Palin Makes a Splash on Long Island

Jedediah Bila was at the Long Island, NY event last Thursday, and gives us a first hand report:

She was relaxed, but spunky. She was real. She was armed with stats. She was unapologetic about her convictions. She was tough on President Obama’s agenda. She was fed up with the status quo. She was "sick and tired of the games that are being played in Washington, D.C., because we’re talking about our money, we’re talking about our kids’ future, we’re talking about our republic and the solvency of our republic." She was willing to laugh at herself. She was confident about her experience.

And yes—she was wearing leopard heels.

The woman? Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. The event? The Long Island Association’s 2011 Annual Meeting and Luncheon, during which Palin replied extemporaneously to a series of questions from LIA CEO and President, Kevin S. Law. Topics included gun control, energy independence, health care, entitlements, Obama’s budget, the debt ceiling, the Tea Party, protests in Egypt, the 2012 presidential election, and more.

[ .... ]

Palin’s trademark sense of humor was woven throughout her commentary, including when she said, "Last night, I’m in my hotel room, and I’ve got my entourage with me—that would be Bristol" and her sentiments on who she envisions at the top of the 2012 GOP ticket: "Nobody is more qualified really in multitasking and doing all the things that you need to do as President than a woman, than a mom. … Adding that all up, what I would look for was somebody who, okay, would start off as being you know, a woman, a mom, somebody who’s administered locally, state, interstate with energy issues, so maybe a mayor, a governor, an oil commissioner, maybe somebody who’s already run for something, vice pr— … I don’t know, I don’t know, we’ll see."

Jedediah Bila: Sarah Palin Will Win Nomination And Beat Barack Obama

From Sean Hannity's Great American Panel on Thursday night. The guests are talking about 2012 and who will beat Obama. Doug Schoen, a democrat, says Obama will beat himself because of his rotten policies, Matt McCall states that Romney can't get the job done, and Jedediah Bila pulls no punches saying Sarah Palin will be our nominee, and will take Obama as well. Smart lady that Jedediah Bila!

Jedediah Bila: Joe Miller, The Real Conservative Deal

We love Joe Miller. He's a strong leader with a compelling story. He is running against one of the Senate's worst establishment Republicans, Lisa Murkowski. Sarah Palin endorsed Joe early on, and many others have followed. Murkowski is one of the top Republican elites that need to go.

Jedediah Bila recently interviewed Joe for Human Events:

I’m not a politician. I’m a concerned citizen,” said Joe Miller, Alaska’s GOP senatorial candidate, in an interview with HUMAN EVENTS. “I believe our nation is at a crossroads, and business as usual will no longer work.

Miller, who is challenging Republican Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski, defines himself as “a limited-government constitutionalist.

We must reverse the growth of the federal government and restore liberty and opportunity to the American people,” he said. “It means getting the federal government to live within its means and within its enumerated powers.

Miller is unequivocally pro-life and pro-2nd Amendment. He’s a life member and benefactor of the NRA, supports the repeal of Obamacare, and opposes cap and trade and amnesty for illegal aliens. He also supports pro-growth tax reform and cutting corporate taxes.

Miller’s bio is impressive. He graduated with honors from West Point, earned a master’s degree in economics from the University of Alaska and a law degree from Yale, served in the U.S. Army, and was appointed as a state magistrate and a Superior Court master for the 4th Judicial District at the young age of 30. He also owns a successful law practice and has served as an acting State District Court judge and a U.S. magistrate judge in Fairbanks. In 2004, he came close to a win in the race for state representative, but lost to the Democrat incumbent.

Despite his striking resume, Miller possesses an everyman quality. His priority isn’t where he’s been, but where he’d like to help this country go.

Miller grew up in Kansas, but moved to Alaska in 1994 due to his love of the great outdoors. “Alaska is a state rich in natural beauty and natural resources,” he said. “There is a spirit of adventure here. I’ve been able to live in its most populous city, Anchorage, out in the bush (as we call it) in Tok, and now in Fairbanks.”

Miller has been endorsed by former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, Mark Levin, Laura Ingraham, the president of Alaska Right to Life, Tea Party Express, Lars Larson, Erick Erickson, the chairman of Defundit.org, and many more.

When asked what motivated him to run against incumbent Sen. Murkowski, Miller responded: “Are we going to keep faith with the Founders and defend our constitutional republic, or will we continue our headlong plunge into socialism and more government control? We already know what is at the end of that road—the decline of the dollar, further constriction of our economy, sustained high unemployment, crippling government regulations, and a deeper dependency on hostile foreign powers. I'm running to help turn that around, to stand up for individual freedoms, and to stand up for Alaska.”

Here is a segment from the exclusive interview:

HUMAN EVENTS: What are your priority issues for Alaska?

JOE MILLER: The main issues for Alaskans, like all Americans, are getting the economy moving again and the nation’s debt crisis. Beyond those issues, the development of Alaska’s rich natural resources is key. The federal government has title over almost two-thirds of the state—including, of course, ANWR. Oil production has dropped precipitously during the last decade.

The Trans Alaska Pipeline System is currently running at one-third capacity. Most Alaskans would like to see a portion of ANWR opened to development to help get production levels back up. The state is also rich in other minerals. The Obama Administration’s policies are hostile to these extractive industries, even if done in environmentally sensitive ways. Alaska needs more control over its own land and resources, so it can break away from being overly dependent on federal dollars coming into the state.

HE: What do you consider to be the most significant differences between you and Sen. Murkowski?

MILLER: Sen. Murkowski and I differ significantly. She is a statist; I’m not. She doesn’t want to return the country to constitutionally limited government; I do. She refused to vote to repeal Obamacare; I would. She voted for amnesty; I wouldn’t. I’m pro-life; she’s not. She wants to implement some form of cap and trade; I wouldn’t. She voted for the second Obama stimulus bill this past March; I wouldn’t do that. It really is a positional difference with respect to what we expect out of government.

I think the Constitution is there as a limiting document. That’s why it was ratified—to limit government, to ensure that our God-given rights are preserved. That is not her answer. She sees government as the answer to virtually everything that comes before our nation. And that is shown in her voting record. It is clearly a choice between a conservative, and not a moderate, but really a liberal. That’s why she’s in the top four RINOs in the Senate today, because of that voting record.

HE: Why will the outcome of this election be far-reaching?

MILLER: We must reverse course as a nation. If we don’t, big government running amuck with a stagnant economy and a sovereign debt crisis will drive us into a situation worse than Greece. Nothing is big enough to bail the United States out. And those most dependent on the federal government will be devastated by such insolvency. But this does not have to be the case.

If enough like-minded, limited-government leaders are elected to Congress—and trends in the lower 48 suggest that will happen—the whole tenor of that body can be changed. I plan to be a catalyst for change that will help reverse government growth and get this economy moving again. Alaska is a part of restoring the nation towards fiscal sanity. Sen. Murkowski is currently part of the go-along, same-as-usual, big-government spending going on in D.C.

Miller also spoke of Alaska’s strategic impact on the nation due to “its vast natural resources and geostrategic location.” He added, “I am committed to doing all that I can to get this nation moving again on a sustainable path. Too many people have paid too high a price to get this nation to this point in history, for us to blow it on our watch.

Overall, Miller was optimistic about the ability of Americans to turn things around, but decisive about the need to “act now.” His love for Alaska and for founding American principles is unquestionable.

He’s the real conservative deal, folks. If you want a U.S. senator from the Last Frontier who will stand solidly by our Constitution and against the Obama agenda, you’ve found your man.
