Sarah Palin: Hell No I Wouldn't Raise The Debt Ceiling!

On Friday afternoon, Sarah Palin appeared on Special Report with Bret Baier. A wide range of topics were discussed:

Barack Obama's complete and total lack of understanding of how the energy markets work. The debt ceiling debate. What she thinks of the current crop of Republican presidential hopefuls. [and her own plans]

Sarah is none to pleased that Obama has already launched into campaign mode instead of doing his job, and how he may have illegally raised money from foreign donors using a shadowy credit card scam, something the FEC is looking into now.

She also scolds the Republican establishment for trying to mess with the nomination process. She wants everyone to have a fair shot.

I've noticed a different Sarah Palin since her event in Madison. When she said "Game on!" she meant it! Of course, she always says what she means, and means what she says. That's why she has such a large. loyal, and devoted following.

What I've noticed in her interviews, her Facebook notes, and even her tweets, is a very determined Sarah Palin. I've followed this lady since her early days as Governor of Alaska, and I'm seeing a Sarah Palin who is more forceful, more determined, and more focused when she speaks. She's in total control of every interview. She definitely has her game face on. It's no wonder her high school teammates gave her the nickname "Sarah Barracuda." There is a certain steely-eyed look about her.

Though she says she's still mulling a White House run, one can't help but sense she's got her mind made up. Sarah has repeatedly said there are simply far more important things to do right now, and presidential politics cause everyone to lose focus.

She's also pointed out numerous times that while it's way too early to start running, there is no one who excites her as a candidate, no one that she feels she could get behind, though she says it's too early for all of this too.

This Sarah Palin means business, and doesn't have time for any foolishness right now. This is a lady on a mission.

The Truth: Gasoline Taxes vs "Evil" Exxon's Profits, Plus Why Oil Prices Are So High

It's that time. Gas prices are once again at record high levels. The usual suspects, and their media partners, are pointing fingers and blaming everyone but the right people for the situation.

Mark Perry at Daily Markets gives us a look at the facts:

The map above from API shows gasoline taxes by state (combined local, state and federal), which range from a low of 26.4 cents per gallon in Alaska to a high of of 66.1 cents per gallon in California, averaging 48.1 cents per gallon across all states. How does that compare to oil company industry profits per gallon?

According to this post on Exxon Mobil’s Perspective Blog , "For every gallon of gasoline, diesel or finished products we manufactured and sold in the United States in the last three months of 2010, we earned a little more than 2 cents per gallon. That’s not a typo. Two cents."

The chart below shows the difference graphically:

Exxon also reports that in 2010 it "made less than 8 cents for every dollar of revenue from all of our businesses around the world."
Nice, huh?

As the data shows, state and federal per gallon sales taxes on gasoline are, on average, 20 times higher than the oil companies profit margin, per gallon. Understand, the government doesn't have any risk involved. They aren't risking billions to explore for the oil. They aren't forced to shut down projects that are about to pay off, thus losing billions, on the whim of a tyranical government.

The government creates nothing. They just stand there with their hand out demanding 20 times oil company profits from each consumer, just because they can.

Oh, I know, the government is supposed to use gasoline taxes to build and maintain roads, and other infrastructure, but if that was true, why did the Obama regime need to pass a trillion dollar stimulus package to build and maintain roads? After all, while oil companies are raking the profits in, the government is raking in 20 times more, at least!

I can see it now: "But, Gary, the evil oil companies are making record profits. You're just a shill for the man!" If only, I'm sure that pays very well!

The progressives, who hate fossil fuels anyway, always blame the oil companies when prices spike. They are an easy target because, in fact, they do make more money than just about any other business on the planet. They also have a product that everyone uses one way or the other. Stands to reason they'll make big bucks, doesn't it.

Of course, people seem to forget these same "evil" corporations also lose money, and they lose it by the billions.

Earlier this week we reported the Obama regime forced Shell to shut down a drilling operation in Alaska. Shell had $4 billion invested in that deal, and had yet to hit oil. That's $4 billion they may as have well just flushed down the toilet!

Oil companies make big money, but they also have big risks. They spend their money billions at a time, and they don't always win. High risk enterprises deserve to make good money for their risks. It's how things work.

Something else to remember. That $4 billion Shell was screwed out of by the Obama regime wasn't Shell's money to lose. You see, when the radical left, the anti-capitalists, the environmental crazies, and all the rest start bashing "Big Oil" and those "evil" corporations in general, they seem to forget who actually owns these companies. The PEOPLE own these companies. People like you and I who have 401Ks, or mutual funds, or maybe just own stock in companies outright.

These aren't "the rich" either. Most people in what we consider the middle class, and even some in what we consider lower class have a buck or two invested. So who gets hurt when the Obama regime, or anyone else does things like what was done to Shell? Everyone, that's who.

But I digress.

So...., why are the companies making record money?

The easy thing to say would be "volume, volume, volume" but it's more than that. People forget that gasoline, isn't the only thing the world uses petroleum for. A significant portion of every barrel of oil produced is used to make other products such as plastics, fertilizers, nylon [and every other synthetic fabric], pharmaceuticals, and much more. Profit margins on raw materials vary, and it's still a business based on volume, but there are more uses for petroleum than just gasoline and lubricants.

And before you start beating up on the gas station owners, they aren't making big margins either. This I can speak to from first hand knowledge.

When I was a kid my dad owned services stations. Several locations and several brands over the years. This was back in the day when they really were service stations. The kind that checked your oil, checked your tires, wiped your windshield, all while pumping your gas for you.

In the later years, as my dad had to slow down due to health reasons, and I ran the business and kept the books. I can tell you, gasoline sales weren't much of a factor to the bottom line. The money was made in service. Tire and battery sales, light mechanic work, and routine maintenance work paid the bills. The gasoline pump just helped you build a loyal clientel who would trust you to do all of their work.

Oh, and once the convenience stores started selling self service gasoline at break even prices, things were even worse for businesses like ours. They drove true service stations out of business. Now the convenience stores certainly make money on gasoline sales these days, but it's all about volume sales, and the hope you'll come inside and buy something, something usually marked up higher than you'd pay at the grocery store.

So why is the price of gasoline so high at the pump then?

There are real culprits, for sure, but they aren't the evil oil companies, or even speculators. And while someone, somewhere, might be "price gouging" their effect is negligible, if these people even exist.

Of course, rather than go after the real culprits, Obama, like all liberals, will blame price gouging and speculators, as well as the oil companies, in order to take everyone's focus off the real reasons why gasoline is pushing $5 a gallon at the pump.

The concept of supply and demand is as old as the existence of commodities themselves. Whether we are talking bartering how many goats or chickens for a bushel of wheat, or a bag of rice, or how many dollars for a barrel of oil, commodities have always been bought and sold, bartered and traded based on supply and demand. How much, or how little of a commodity is available, always determines it's worth.

It's pretty simple, but since neither Obama, nor most of the people surrounding him, have ever run a business as complicated as a lemonade stand, they are having a hard time with this centuries old concept.

It stands to reason with the Obama regime's moratorium on drilling, insanity all over the Middle East, and developing nations like China and India devouring record amounts of oil [for them] that the demand is taxing the supply.

We know that the United States more fossil fuel reserves than any other nation on the planet, and could become totally energy independent quite easily, but that would be too much like right, wouldn't it?

The other problem making gasoline prices skyrocket is the Fed's insane QE2 program. The Obama regime is allowing the Fed to monetize the debt, just print money, with nothing in reserve to back it up. This is something Sarah Palin warned us about last year, and unfortunately everything she warned us about has come to pass.

Thanks to the Fed's policy of quantitative easing, which is endorsed by Obama, everything costs more, including gasoline, simply because the value of the dollar is less than it was before the Fed went down this dangerous path.

Then there is our energy policy, or lack there of. We haven't had a coherent energy policy in my lifetime. I'm not talking about some insane environmental policy based on faulty, and often made up "science," I'm talking about a serious policy for energy exploration in order to secure not only the economy, but the nation as a whole. All economies run on energy. No energy, or overly expensive energy, and economies collapse. This isn't rocket science.

Who's to bear most of the blame for that pain you feel at the pump? As is usually the case, the government. Republicans and democrats alike have caused this. No one has the guts to tell the radical leftists to just sit down and shut up, and no one has the courage to take on lobbyists and other corrupt elements of the industry.

Look, we haven't built a new refinery since the 1970s, and now it looks like we are not going to build new nuclear plants anytime soon. Oh, and forget coal, even though it's by far our most abundant source of energy. Cheap energy.

The "green" activists have held the nation hostage for decades. They are constantly scheming for new and creative ways to destroy "evil" energy production. These Luddites, pagans who worship Mother Gaia over all else, are allowed by the left to use any method to destroy the nation's ability to produce our own energy.

For example, when Sarah Palin was Governor, the Bush administration, under pressure from radicals, was about to put the polar bear on the endangered species list. Never mind there was no science to back this move up. In fact, there is a bit of a population explosion going on among these bears, and their numbers a steadily increasing. The species is very healthy.

Governor Palin successfully sued the Bush administration on behalf of the state of Alaska. Had the radicals prevailed, it would have all but stopped all oil and natural gas exploration in Alaska forever. Would have pretty much destroyed the state and it's citizens.

Right now the radicals are trying to shut down the entire economy of West Texas over some sand lizard. It's insane.

I have a serious question for any liberals who might be reading this.

Thanks to liberals, it's almost impossible to teach children about God, or even mention his name in school, without having the ACLU, the Justice Department, and liberals in general losing their minds. HOWEVER, Darwin's completely unproven theory of evolution is taught as fact, pretty much shoved down every school kid's throat.

One of the major tenets of Darwinism is "Survival of the Fittest." In other words, species that can't hack it, don't deserve to survive and we shouldn't lose any sleep over it. Species were coming and going millions of years before man ever walked the earth, and we are regularly discovering hundreds of new species we never knew existed.

If Darwin is the end all be all, then who are WE to interfere? If something ceases to exist, then something will take it's place. It's just that simple.

As liberals worship all things Darwin, why then, do they interfere with what is his major teaching, that species evolve and the weak die off? It amazes me the amount of sleep these radicals lose over this stuff, when their "religion" teaches them that these things happen.

Maybe it's not the animals' health they care about at all, but the animals' ability to serve as a useful tool to help them advance their radical agenda for the world.

Oh, and it's not just energy these environmental loons have destroyed. These menaces to society, in their zeal to destroy anything even remotely productive, turned the entire Central Valley of California, some of the most fertile farm land in the world, into desert, millions of acres of desert, over a three inch bait fish, that is not even native to the area!

Billions of dollars have been lost, unemployment in the area is above 40 percent, and families who have owned farms for generations are either losing them, or about to. And the state and the federal government has the environmentalists' back. They support the eco-terrorists 100 percent.

All of these things effect the price of gasoline, the lifeblood of our society.

How do we fix it? Clean house in Washington, and in the state capitols! Elect leaders who value common sense over radical ideology. Elect leaders who understand basic economics. Elect leaders who want to see America and her people prosper. Elect leaders who understand what "Dill baby, drill" really means.

We are not going to change this over night, but energy security, in an increasingly unstable and unpredictable world, equals national security. It also means economic security for the entire nation. There is no reasonable excuse for an America that isn't 100 percent energy independent. None whatsoever.

I hate litmus tests for candidates, but if someone isn't 100 percent on board with doing whatever it takes to make the United States energy independent and do it now, then they are not worth looking at. Especially presidential candidates.

You want our energy problem fixed, you gotta fix government. In the immortal words of Ronald Reagan:

First Look: Bristol Palin's Book "Not Afraid Of Life"

I'm thrilled to show you the cover of my new book, "Not Afraid of Life!" You'll notice that there's a certain cute little boy on the cover. I love that photo!

Bristol Palin gives us a first look at the cover of her new book Bristol Palin, Not Afraid Of Life, My Journey So Far via Facebook today. Beautiful artwork. Can't wait for the book's release.

How The GOP Establishment And The Media Are Trying To Stop Sarah Palin From Running For President

By Gary P Jackson

The Republican Establishment has always been hostile to the Conservatives who make up the solid base of the party. Oh, they'll take your money, and your vote, but past that, you need to sit down and shut up. They know better than us rubes.

The elites REALLY hated Ronald Reagan. To the GOP country club set, Reagan was a "B movie actor" an "amiable dunce" and someone who was not "intellectually curious." Sounds familiar, doesn't it!

It's the default position they take on everyone who isn't one of them.

How often do we find the GOP establishment sounding like the far left, when they talk about solid Conservatives?

By the way, the above comments were the nice things they said about Reagan. Both the GOP and the left were screaming that if elected, Reagan would start a nuclear war with the Soviet Union. The fear mongering was incredible.

The establishment pretty much pushed George H.W. Bush on Reagan as his running mate, and even then, that wasn't good enough for the liberal leaning country clubbers, who ran former congressman John Anderson as a third Party candidate.

In fact, this is why, despite an electoral college blowout, Reagan only received 50.1 percent of the popular vote in 1980. Though it wasn't even close, one has to wonder if the GOP elites real agenda was to bleed off enough votes to give Carter a second term, rather than see Reagan, a real reformer come to power.

Nothing has changed with the establishment either. In the spring of 2009 Jeb Bush, Mitt Romney and others went on a ridiculous "listening tour." Speaking for the group, Bush proclaimed the era of Reagan was over, that it’s time for the Republican Party to give up its "nostalgia" for the heyday of the Reagan era and look forward, even if it means stealing the winning strategy deployed by Democrats in the 2008 election.

Clueless. Utterly clueless. They held their first meeting at a pizza joint in Arlington, Virginia. The National Council for a New America (NCNA) didn't last long. When you can't even get people to show up when you have pizza and beer ....

By the way, as if to put an exclamation point on the Bush/Romney lunacy, it was the return of Reagan ideals, and Reagan principles, that saw Conservative Republicans win a historic election in November of 2010. They took back the House in a big way, gained in the Senate, moved into Governor's mansions nationwide, and saw an unprecedented shift in state legislatures, as over 650 democrats lost their jobs to Republicans. Some states went Republican for the first time since Reconstruction. [after the Civil War]

It seems the country clubbers' reports of Reagan's demise were greatly exaggerated.

So .... what we see happening to Sarah Palin is nothing new. It's just the "good old boys" doing what they always do.

With that said, the GOP elites fear Sarah Palin as much, if not more than the left does. They certainly fear her more than they did Reagan, something I once thought impossible.

Sarah Palin has proven she has no patience for corrupt, go along, get along, business as usual Republicans.

In Alaska she took on the entire Republican Party, which was swimming in corruption. Serious corruption. The FBI was marching politicians off to prison months after Sarah took office as Governor. Even GOP party chair Randy Ruedrich was hammered, and paid the largest fine in Alaska's history. As a result, the Alaska GOP refused to put Governor Palin's photo on their website. Childish and petty, but that's the elite mindset.

Despite the sniping and nonsensically attacks, both the GOP and the media know that Sarah Palin is a strong, capable leader, and if elected would shake things up, and change Washington forever. She will mess up the elites' little playhouse.

In a follow up to his Top Ten Signs Sarah Pain Is Running, Tony Lee has the Top Ten Ways GOP Establishment and Mainstream Media Try to Dissuade Sarah Palin From Running For President.

Now if you follow these things closely, none of this is new to you, as you see it all the time in the news. And if you read the comments sections on many websites, you'll see this sort of nonsense parroted by fans of the RINO crowd.

It's really interesting to watch. You'll never hear Sarah Palin, or any of her supporters say a candidate shouldn't run for office.

Well, except for Trump, but that's just me.

Oh, we may think they are unqualified, or a disaster waiting to happen, but no one will tell them not to run. Competition is good. It makes the best candidates better. Keeps them sharp.

On the other hand, the Republican establishment is flat out saying Sarah Palin shouldn't even run. As former Carter and Mondale staffer, and faux conservative Charles Krauthammer once said: "She needs to leave the room."

This was during the debate on ObamaCare, right after she coined the term "death panels." That was only the turning point in the entire debate, and she has been proven right a thousand times over, but since she's not from the right side of the tracks, little elites like Charles dismiss her, just as he did Ronald Reagan during his time.

Let's look at just a few of these:
1. Be a kingmaker (or queenmaker)

As noted by the likes of Grover Norquist and many other pundits and establishment Republicans, Palin, their reasoning goes, would best serve the party as a kingmaker. What they are essentially saying (try to follow the logic) is that Palin's endorsement should be the gold standard but her candidacy would not be appreciated. Even more ironic is that should Palin run, it diminishes the kingmaking capabilities of the traditional and spoiled cast of characters who are used to getting their brass rings kissed every four years.
This one probably pisses me off the most, though there are several more running for that "honor."

As pointed out, the logic behind this one is insane. In 2010 Sarah Palin's endorsement was the only one actively sought, and the one that brought great success. She endorsed over 100 candidates in local, state, and national races, over 60 of them won.

Most notably were candidates like South Carolina's new Governor, Nikki Haley. Haley was stuck in dead last, fourth place, even after establishment candidate Mitt Romney endorsed her. Sarah came in, made her endorsement in person, and Nikki was immediately the front runner, and of course won big. Plenty more stories like that from 2010.

So how is it that someone, who's endorsement is the gold standard, isn't worthy of endorsing herself, and making a run?

Here's how I look at it: Anyone who NEEDS a kingmaker is not fit to be king, and anyone who can BE a kingmaker CAN be king him or herself. In Sarah Palin's case that goes double.

There was a variation of this when the GOP was throwing Michael Steele under the bus. All of a sudden the elites thought they had found the "perfect" job for Sarah! A way to use her significant managerial talents, and fund raising ability, and keep her tied up so she couldn't run for President. There was column after column written proclaiming Sarah was the absolute perfect person to become RNC chairman. We had a different idea.

It's pretty insulting, when you really think about it. The elites want Sarah to do all the heavy lifting, then get out of the way so they can reap the benefits. They are just too cowardly to say what they are thinking: They'd rather she be barefoot, pregnant, and in the kitchen makin' sandwiches!

After she's done all of their work for them, of course.
3. You're too divisive

Another argument is that Palin would be too divisive to win a general election. And the only thing those who say this cite are polls released over a year before any voter of importance started paying attention to the election. In these early polls, there is probably some type of Palin effect (or a reverse-Bradley/Wilder effect), as Sheya at Conservatives4Palin noted, where voters either do not want to tell pollsters they support Palin for fear they would sound stupid or are withholding their potential support until she announces her candidacy, if she indeed does.

Further, as Pollinsider noted, Palin always has a strong floor, which potentially helps her in the primary (if the GOP primary has many entrants) and the general election (2012 may be a "base" election like 2004 where turnout matters, so the floor that Palin starts off with would give her significant advantages over other candidates who do not have that built in floor).
Ronald Reagan was "divisive" too. He was so divisive he won two landslide elections! In fact, Reagan was a mere 0.18 percent away from winning all 50 states in 1984.

Polarizing is another word they use. Like Barack Obama isn't polarizing?

We live in a polarized nation. You have the extreme left, and Conservatives. The mushy middle, those sainted, sacred moderates, that we are constantly told we must pander to, are almost non-existent these days. At this point you either want to return to First Principals and the constitutional republican form of government created by our founders, or be part of the "Glorious Communist Revolution" the democrat party is selling. There simply is no other choice. No middle ground.

The fact is, Conservatism, real conservatism, works every time it's tried, and solid Conservatives win elections. Especially presidential elections. All one needs is an articulate candidate who can actually walk the walk.

That would be Sarah Palin.

Here's the truth about polls, especially this early. They are at best meaningless. At this point in the 2008 race the whole world just knew the contest would be between Rudy Giuliani and Hillary Clinton. As late as mid-1980, Ronald Reagan was 31 points down to Jimmy Carter. Reagan carried 44 states and Carter a mere 6.

What polling now is really about, is the media's attempt to set a narrative. If one digs deep into the internals, it's easy to spot the methodology used to get the results desired. You can manipulate samples and questions to achieve any result you want. One simply can't take these as any sort of "snapshot" of reality. The only polling that matters is the one taken on election day.

Another thing Sarah's detractors put out there is her approval ratings. I lived through the Reagan era, and the attacks on him were vile. Just nasty and very hateful. I remember editorials about Reagan's age, complete with illustrations of Reagan in the morgue, implying he would die as soon as he took office, so why bother.

One could find Reagan was portrayed as an evil genius and a senile old man, in the same article! A lazy dunce who couldn't do anything and an evil warmonger who couldn't wait to destroy the world.

It was sickening.

They were NOTHING compared to the vitriol we see thrown at Sarah Palin though. Nothing is off limits . Sarah, her husband, and her children are all "fair game" to this bunch. The left and their media partners have thrown everything at her including the kitchen sink, so yeah, her numbers may be a tad low. As Sarah herself has said many times: "If I believed everything I read about me, I wouldn't like me either!"

Many detractors use these sort of things to say she's "damaged goods" and we need to pick a candidate the media will like. Problem with that is, if we pick a candidate the media will truly like, he'll be a democrat!

Republicans were fooled in 2008, as they usually are. John McCain, bless his heart, was the media darling. He was every left wing commentators favorite Republican. "If only John McCain would run for President," they loudly proclaimed. "He is a republican we could support!" That lasted until he got the nomination, of course, then the long knives came out.

The New York Times endorsed McCain in the Primary with glowing stories, then as soon as the nomination was secured, started running bogus reports that John had been having an affair with a lobbyist. Sickening, but that's how they work.

The media always sets the narrative the Republicans must choose a "moderate" candidate or risk losing those precious little darlings. Of course, the Republican establishment always buys into this nonsense, as do way too many GOP voters.

Barack Obama is the most far left radical ever to run for President, let alone be elected. Somehow I missed all of the articles from the "concerned" media warning the democrats about the need for a "moderate" candidate.

Why Republicans continue to fall for this media nonsense is beyond me.

In 2007-2008 it was common knowledge the left was holding their fire on Mike Huckabee because they knew he would be an "easy kill" in the general election. Nothing has changed by the way, Huckabee is still an "easy kill" which is why you see the left treating Huckabee nicely now, and the Daily Kos' official pollster, PPP, always manages to find just the right sample to make Huckabee the front runner in their polls.

If Sarah Palin was such a disaster, in the minds of the left, they wouldn't spend every waking moment trying to destroy her! Same goes for the little elites in the Republican Party. Indeed, the left would be propping her up and hoping we'd be "dumb" enough to make her the nominee!

As for the GOP, if she was THAT bad, she'd get destroyed in the primaries and that would be the end of that.

The other problem with those who think Sarah Palin is somehow "damaged" is this: She has been absolutely hammered by the left and weasels in the GOP since September of 2008, and she's still standing tall.

In a way it's a good thing, as Sarah is the most vetted candidate in the history of the Republic! At this point her detractors have nothing else to attack her with. They are down to recycling old attacks from years ago, that didn't work the first time around.

In a way, the haters have inoculated Sarah and made her all but bullet-proof to any attacks.

Put another way, Sarah's numbers have gone as low as they can. They have no where to go but up, and that's what a campaign is for. BTW, people should never forget that among Republicans, Sarah still has higher approval numbers than anyone else, and it's Republicans who decide who their nominee is.

Now let's look at a what would happen to a "media approved" candidate:

Everything would be just peachy until they got the nomination, then all hell would break lose, especially since the media would be trying to protect their messiah, Barack Obama.

They would go to any length to destroy anyone who dare try and take Obama down. But instead of having years to prove they're not the Anti-Christ, the poor hapless Republican nominee would have six months, tops, to prove they weren't the devil reincarnate.

Good luck with that.

This media approved candidate would also have to have a spine of steel and set of core principles to match. Of course, if they were that sort, they wouldn't be "media approved" in the first place.

The fact is, Sarah Palin is the one leader who never panders to the media and actually seems to relish the fact she's not in their good graces. She understands if that bunch was loving her, she'd be doing it all wrong.

Sarah has proven she can beat the media at their own game.

Read all of Tony Lee's Top Ten, spot on assessment here.

The GOP establishment are just as much to blame for the mess this nation is in as the hard left. They have been little more than enablers to extremists. In many cases, they actually agree with them.

You got guys like Romney, who created socialized medicine in America before the left could pull it off, and Tim Pawlenty who is jealous he didn't beat Romney to it! Oh, and don't get me started on Pawlenty's embrace of the global warming fairy tale.

Then there is Newt Gingrich. He's taken being an enabler of the left to a whole 'nuther level!

With "friends" like these, who needs enemies!

The media and the GOP establishment have been working night and day to stop Sarah Palin. They wouldn't be putting out the effort if she wasn't a threat, and you better believe Sarah Palin is a serious threat to business as usual in D.C.

And that's a very good thing!

I started working on this piece before Sarah Palin gave her game changing speech in Madison, Wisconsin, interviewed with Sean Hannity, and hammered Obama on Libya .... twice.

There's a new talking point out there now.

It seems, according to those "concerned" GOPers, that Sarah Palin isn't making the required pilgrimage to Iowa like every good little candidate should. This is a sure sign, they point out, that she isn't up to the task of running.

Besides she'd give up all of the money she's making. Might as well sit this out and "anoint" some feckless loser who'll get slaughtered by Obama in the general election.

After all, it's bound to be someone's "turn."

These people obviously never actually listen to the woman, or are so used to empty rhetoric from their bunch, they don't understand Sarah Palin doesn't do empty rhetoric.

If "Game On!" wasn't plain enough, maybe what Sarah has said over and over since then will help. Sarah has made a point of saying it's way too early for anyone to start running for President. In her mind, there is simply more important things to do, especially since the election is 18 months down the road.

Here's a message to the left wing media and those GOP elites:

If Sarah Palin decides to run, and we're almost certain she will, she will win the Republican nomination and the presidency, handily, and there isn't anything you can do about it.

INCOMPETENCE: High Costs And Less Care: RomneyCare’s Unhappy Anniversary

Just how bad is Mitt Romney's "crowning achievement"?

THIS bad: [emphasis mine]
The Massachusetts Medical Society found that 56% of physicians are not taking on new patients. Wait times for appointments are climbing. Just two years after reform took root, one clinic in Western Massachusetts had amassed a waiting list of 1,600 patients…

Of the previously uninsured individuals who have signed up, 68% are receiving free or subsidized coverage.

Many of these people aren’t even citizens of Massachusetts. A recent report from the Massachusetts Inspector General found that state agencies have failed to implement controls to prevent ineligible people from making claims. In 2010 millions of dollars were spent on medical services for individuals from 48 other states and several foreign countries.
Read more from Sally Pipes' stunning report here.

For those still holding on to hope that ObamaCare might just work, RomneyCare is the canary in the coal mine.

This has been a failure on every level, and while it's costing those poor devils in the Bay State millions of dollars in waste, fraud, and abuse, ObamaCare will cost Americans billions, if not trillions in the same manner.

People need to wake up and demand ObamaCare be repealed ASAP.

Now I know a lot of people are working desperately to excuse Mitt Romney from any responsibility from this fiasco, or rationalize it away, but that dog just won't hunt.

One of the talking points I see people test driving now, is it's not really RomneyCare, but "PatrickCare," named after Massachusetts Governor Duval Patrick who took Romney's place. You see it's all those rascally democrats fault that Mitt's "glorious gift to mankind" is all screwed up.

Ridiculous!

Look, Massachusetts is a liberal state. The fact that Romney couldn't foresee this happening, when he gleefully signed this horrific piece of legislation into law, speaks volumes about Mitt's complete lack of common sense and understanding of the consequences of his actions.

In 1961 Ronald Reagan warned Americans that liberals would use socialized medicine to gain control of every facet of government, as well as control of many facets of everyone's personal life. To impose Socialism on the people.

Now this was 50 years ago. You mean to tell me a "conservative" like Mitt Romney [snort] never heard Reagan's Operation Coffee Cup message before?

I mean Romney once told us he was a "Reagan Conservative." Of course that was before he teamed up with Jeb Bush to tell everyone "the era of Reagan is over"! Romney is a lot like Barack Obama. It seems, like Obama, all of Mitt's statements and proclamations have expiration dates.

Recently Romney has been trying to do major damage control by crying ObamaCare's individual mandate is unconstitutional, which it is. It's also immoral. However, Romney had absolutely no problem forcing citizens of his state to buy insurance. In fact, As Jennifer Rubin points out, Mitt was all in: [emphasis mine]

Gruber tells me, "What I can tell you is that there was an active debate on the individual mandate." He explains, "On one hand, Romney felt people were free-riding" on the health care system — that is, remaining uninsured but burdening the government health care system when they became sick or injured.

On the other hand, Gruber says, was the "freedom" argument about the mandate. He says, "What I’d like to think carried the day was that I pointed out that without the mandate you would spend the same money and cover fewer people."

Gruber says in the one face-to-face meeting he had with Romney, it was clear Romney had made the "final call." Gruber tells me: "He was the champion of the plan. He really was the consummate management consultant."

And, Gruber says, the plan that passed and is now operating is not fundamentally different from the individual mandate plan that Romney "championed." Gruber says
, "The framework is basically the same." Moreover, Romney understood that the bill would be a framework, with the details to be filled in later (e.g., the definition of "affordable" health care). "He said so at the signing ceremony," Gruber recollects. So the notion that the plan was hijacked by the Democratic-controlled legislature is simply not so, he asserts.

It is equally true in Gruber’s mind that without the Massachusetts example, Obama’s individual mandate plan in all likelihood would not have passed.
Read more here.

Interesting huh. Gruber, who wrote the RomneyCare legislation, is calling Mitt a bald faced liar for blaming democrats for his own stupidity.

And make no mistake, that's exactly what it is, stupidity. Stupidity with gross incompetence mixed in for good measure.

Mitt Romney, not some random democrat, is the Father of Socialized Medicine in America.

Not Nancy Pelosi.

Not Harry Reid.

Not Barack Obama.

Mitt Romney owns it.

A lot of people are still pushing Mitt Romney for President. Why I have no clue.

The man's record as Governor was nothing to brag about. And he's proven he doesn't even understand basic human nature. Anyone with an ounce of common sense, and even a modest amount of working knowledge of how Big Government boondoggles always turn out, could have told Romney that his RomneyCare plan would end up exactly like it has: A complete and total disaster.

Mitt Romney simply doesn't have the character, intelligence, or ability to comprehend the unintended consequences of his dubious actions. The man isn't qualified to be the president of the local yacht club, let alone the President of these United States.

Confident Sarah Palin Continues To Pound Barack Obama "On The Record"

By Gary P Jackson

On the heels of her beat down via Facebook, on Tuesday morning, Sarah Palin went On The Record with Greta Van Susteren on Tuesday night, where she continued to whip Obama like a rented mule.

Right out of the gate Greta highlighted one of Sarah's comments from the earlier Facebook post:
It’s unbelievable to me that you spent last week in campaign mode, gallivanting around the country to start raising the billion dollars for your reelection bid that is still 19 months away "while Rome burns." Our economy is in the tank; jobs are as scarce as ever; you’re asking Congress to let you incur even more unsustainable, immoral, freedom-stealing government debt; and many of our brave men and women in uniform are shaking their heads in disbelief over your befuddled military directions.

Yet instead of working with Congress and a wise multitude of advisers to fix some problems, you choose all this campaigning, already? As was recently asked: When do you ever just "roll up your sleeves, unplug the teleprompter" and do the job of governing and administrating for which voters hired you?
After hammering Obama for being in campaign mode, and trying to raise $1 billion for an election that is [gulp] 19 months away, instead of focusing on the nation's challenges, she starts in on high gasoline prices, Libya [and Obama's incoherent foreign policy in general] and more.

Sarah reminds us we can't afford to have the nation's Commander-in-Chief, our CEO, in campaign mode while "Rome burns"!

Sarah goes on to say it's almost like Obama can't be bothered by all of these issues of the day because he's too busy either running for re-election, playing golf, or going on holiday!

She goes on to say, if that's the case, the best thing is for government to just get out of the way! Stop with the insane regulations, quantitative easing [printing money, monetizing the debt], coming up with more "stimulus plans" and other nonsense, and just let private businesses and the free market do it's thing!

Sarah bluntly states nothing is going to change until Obama is out of office.

This is a wonderful interview. Sarah Palin is proving she is a confident stateswoman, and very much at ease talking about issues and policy. This folks, is what a leader looks and sounds like. I know it's been a while since most have seen or heard one, which is why I point this out.

There is also a twinkle in Sarah's eyes. She's a warrior, but a happy one. She reminds me so much of the great Ronald Reagan. He was one tough hombre, but he was always happy and optimistic as well.

Sarah comes off the exact same way. Both in this interview, as well as her Facebook smack-down. She's tough, but not mean, and uses a fair bit of sarcasm and wit to go along with the beating she's giving Obama.

The entire interview is powerful, insightful, and even a bit of fun.

At one point she off-handedly mentions Bill Ayers and the fact that he "allegedly" wrote Obama's first book. She did this as she was taking a shot at Trump and others who were wasting time on nonsensical issues, while REAL issues were being ignored.

She points out the media is loving these distractions, as is the Obama regime.

As we have noted before, the "birther" issue helps Obama more than it hurts him. What she's saying is: Now that Trump has everyone's attention, he needs to be talking about substantive issues, something he is not doing.

This all gets back to what she told Sean Hannity last week, when she said it was way too early for her, or anyone else to be running for President. Too many more important issues to be focused on, rather than wasting time gearing up for 2012 and an election that is still almost 2 years away.

Leadership vs politics.

Sarah also gets a nice little shot in at Katie Couric at the end of the interview. Dee-licious!

Enjoy.

Sarah Palin To Dems: You Want A Deal On Debit Increase? Let's Talk Drill Baby Drill

Sarah Palin, knowing the weak GOP is getting nowhere with the issue of whether or not to raise our debt ceiling, offered up a strong challenge to the democrats.

Tweeting Alaska Senator Mark Begich, Sarah has this to say:
Sen.Begich: how'bout deal on ANWR? U trying? MT@SarahPalinUSA:"Voting 4 debt increase? Then pressure your D's to drill http://bit.ly/g7rBhu
She was referencing an article from Dan Springer on Fox News' website:
Despite $4 Gas, Obama Boots Shell From Arctic Drill Site

Shell Oil Company has announced it must scrap efforts to drill for oil this summer in the Arctic Ocean off the northern coast of Alaska. The decision comes following a ruling by the EPA's Environmental Appeals Board to withhold critical air permits. The move has angered some in Congress and triggered a flurry of legislation aimed at stripping the EPA of its oil drilling oversight.
We covered this situation, at length, here.

This is seriously out-of-the-box thinking on Sarah's part. The sign of a strong leader. The GOP leadership in Washington is allowing the democrats to set the ground rules for the debate on this issue. Of course, the democrats don't want to cut any spending whatsoever, and the Republicans are getting weak-kneed, fearing the beating the media will give them for doing the right thing.

At best, some are proposing a balanced budget amendment before making a deal with the democrats.

The problems with a balanced budget amendment are many. First, it requires amending the Constitution, something that requires both Congress and two thirds of the states to ratify. This is a long drawn out process with no guarantees it would be ratified. Meanwhile, we may hit our debt ceiling by Friday!

The other fear, of course, is forcing Congress to balance the budget each fiscal year may be seen as a license to simply raise taxes over and over to cover their out of control spending.

Yes, I know many state constitutions require their legislatures balance the budget and taxes aren't raised to usury levels, but this is Washington we are talking about.

Both parties are addicted to spending, and the power it gives them. A balanced budget amendment is a noble ideal, but one that has the potential to abuse the tax payer.

Prudence tells us that spending is the problem, not tax revenue. A bold GOP would insist on cutting trillions immediately, in return for any sort of deal on the debt ceiling. As Ronald Reagan would say, now is the time for bold colors, not pale pastels. The Republican initiatives are quite pallid.

Sarah Palin's plan is bold. It would also cure more than just our debt problem. It would impact gas prices almost immediately. It would create jobs. It would stimulate the economy as a whole.

As we send $700 billion to $1 trillion a year overseas to import oil, becoming energy independent, and having those dollars stay in OUR economy would take us a long way toward financial security, energy independence, and of course, overall national security.

Sadly, I doubt the Ruling Class will listen to Sarah, never mind the fact she was ahead of the curve on QE2 and had that disaster figured out nearly six months ahead of the "smartest people in the room" like Barack Obama.

As usual Sarah Palin is showing true leadership by showing she has a superior intellect to those currently in charge. Having negotiated a lot of deals in my previous career, I can tell you, Sarah Palin is what we call a "closer." Someone smart enough to look at a situation, see all of the elements, and come up with a workable solution to a seemingly impossible situation.

In the end though, Washington is stubborn, and set in it's ways. The only solution I see is a Palin presidency. Having her at the helm will force the Republicans to grow a spine and get things done for the good of us, the people.

Obama Regime Blocks Drilling In Alaska, But Allows Italians To Drill Baby Drill

When Barack Obama took office, the national average for a price of gasoline was $1.85. Now it's over $4 and we are hearing it may very well be $6 or $7 before the end of summer. So what does Obama do?

His regime just blocked Shell Oil from drilling where we know there are 27 BILLION barrels of oil. If Obama's deliberate war on the United States' ability to use it's own abundant natural resources doesn't border on treason, I'm not sure what does.

From the Heritage Foundation:
There are an estimated 27 billion barrels of oil waiting to be tapped in the Arctic Ocean, off the coast of Alaska. But after spending five years and nearly $4 billion, Shell Oil Company has been forced to abandon its efforts to drill for oil in the region.

With gas at $4 per gallon and higher, one might think that more oil would be a good thing. So what’s the road block? The Environmental Protection Agency. Fox News reports that the EPA is withholding necessary air permits because of a one square mile village of 245 people, 70 miles from the off-shore drilling site.
Read the rest of this shocking report here.

Obama has been trying to scam the American people by falsely claiming he is doing all he can on domestic production, however the facts show he's doing everything he can to actually block all domestic production.

Never mind the fact the United States has the largest fossil fuel reserves in the world. That's right, between oil, natural gas, and coal, the United States has more energy resources than any other nation on the planet. And yet, our President has blocked all attempts to recover it. At least by Americans.

As Obama has blocked drilling permits at a frantic pace, other nations are drilling for oil in the Gulf of Mexico for their own markets. Never mind this is our oil.

Now we learn that even though the Obama regime and radical environmentalists have fought to stop all drilling in Alaska, and Italian company is drilling away, AND spilling oil. From the Anchorage Daily News
Oil spilled at an Italian oil company's new Alaska oil field on the northern coast last Wednesday, 10 days after the field started production, the state Department of Environmental Conservation said today.

Oil spilled at an Italian oil company's new Alaska oil field on the northern coast last Wednesday, 10 days after the field started production, the state Department of Environmental Conservation said today.

About 61 gallons of crude oil sprayed out of a flare vent, which is used to relieve pressure. Programmable circuits failed and crude oil was pushed through the flare and outside onto snow and gravel, the DEC said.

The DEC estimated the oil affected 60 cubic yards of snow and one cubic yard of gravel, all of which will have to be removed. Eni personnel had the area about 80 percent cleaned when DEC responders arrived.

The spill occurred at Eni's production facility for its new Nikaitchuq field, which started production Jan. 30, the DEC said. Although Nikaitchuq is an offshore field in the Beaufort Sea, this spill occurred onshore at Oliktok Point, where some production occurs.

Work at Eni's production wells continued throughout the incident.

Eni has drilled 12 wells and plans to drill a total of 52 by 2014. The Oliktok Point pad will tap oil from 22 wells; an offshore pad near Spy Island will tap the remaining 30.

The company expects the facility to produce for more than 30 years, with a peak of 28,000 barrels per day.
At the current price of crude, we'll spend between $700 billion and $1 trillion importing oil from other nations, many of which don't much care for us. Can you imagine the U.S. economy if that $1 trillion was allowed to circulate here. The amount of good paying jobs it would create.

I can.

Just one more case why Obama must go.

By the way, have you noticed how much cover the lamestream media is giving Obama? Back when Bush was President, and gas prices rose, it was all his fault. Now that Obama is President the meme the left is pushing is "there are no easy answers" [as to why the price has gone through the roof.] It's amazing to watch the overt bias.

Of course, as gas prices skyrocket, the price of transporting goods will skyrocket as well, effecting the price we pay for everything, especially food.

Enough is enough. We must demand a real energy policy and we must demand it now.

Sarah Palin Knew Obama's QE2 Plan Was A Bust Long Before Economists Did

I'm continually tickled by the supposedly "intelligent" people who dismiss Sarah Palin when she speaks. Never mind that she's always proven right after the fact.

I know the left wing's [and the Republican establishment's] default position is that any strong Conservative leader, someone who doesn't subscribe to far left ideology, or in the GOP's case, someone not of the country club, soggy cucumber and mayo sandwich set, someone who doesn't go to the "right" schools, is in their eyes, an idiot. A rube. Too stupid to understand complicated issues.

Nothing could be further from the truth, and we have decades worth of evidence that it's the over-educated, but inexperienced, Ruling Class elites who are clueless. After all, it's these Ivy League elites who have gotten us in all of this mess in the first place!

The last President we had that had an ounce of common sense when it came to complex issues was Ronald Reagan. He was called an "amiable dunce" because he didn't go to the right schools either.

In Sarah Palin's case it's breathtaking.

Her record as a Mayor, oil and gas regulator, and Governor is filled with the sort of successes most politicians would kill for. She wasn't a "One-Note-Johnny" either. She was strong on every issue. Most overlooked though are her strong fiscal abilities. The fact she was able to balance budgets and create multi-billion dollar surpluses is lost on those who want to dismiss her outright.

I'm reminded of an excerpt from Kay Cashman's book: Sarah Takes On Big Oil:
Dan Seamount, one of two commissioners who served with Sarah Palin in 2003 and early 2004 on the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, had the following to say about Palin.

"She's pro-development, not pro industry. She'll tell you,'My boss is the people of Alaska.'

"She s smart, a quick study. Her adversaries biggest mistake is underestimating her intelligence, her understanding of issues. And she uses their arrogance against them.
Maybe if our "betters" weren't so busy telling us how dumb Sarah Palin is, they'd have had time to check our her strong comments at the CLSA Investors Summit in Hong Kong. You see, Sarah was talking tough to China, in China, back in September of 2009, long before reality TV show "star" Donald Trump was making noises.

The London Financial Times and Reuters noticed, for sure, but the lamestream media made sure it was never reported widely in this country.

That brings us to Barack Obama and Ben Bernanke's quantitative easing [QE2] scheme. QE2 is just a fancy way of saying: "Hey, let's just print more money!"

This is a plan for disaster. It has failed every time it has been tried. Countries have collapsed, totally and completely collapsed, because their leaders have chosen to just print money in just such a manner.

The Weimar Republic of Germany is a good example, where it took a wheelbarrow full of notes to buy a loaf of bread. Zimbabwe is a modern day example of what happens when the government just starts to print money.

How big of a disaster is the Obama/Bernanke fiasco? The New York Sun is seriously suggesting that, instead of being President, Sarah Palin should be named the next Fed Chairman!

Hard to argue with that reasoning, but I have faith that as President, she'll choose someone who actually understands practical economics, for that job.

Anyhow, from The Sun:
Sarah Palin for the Fed?

The big question as Chairman Bernanke gets set for his first quarterly press conference is how Sarah Palin was able to figure out sooner than everyone else that the Federal Reserve’s campaign of quantitative easing wouldn’t work.

Disappointment in the Fed’s policies is being reported this morning at the top of page one of the New York Times. It reports that "most Americans are not feeling the difference" from the Fed’s "experimental effort to spur a recovery by purchasing vast quantities of federal debt." It reports that "a broad range of economists say that the disappointing results show the limits of the central bank’s ability to lift the nation from its economic malaise."

It’s a terrific story, and well-timed, given that on Wednesday Mr. Bernanke will break tradition and meet with the press. It is part of the Fed’s effort to get ahead of what is emerging as a public relations catastrophe, as gasoline is nearing six dollars a gallon at some pumps, the cost of groceries is skyrocketing, and the value of the dollars that Mr. Bernanke’s institution issues as Federal Reserve notes has collapsed to less than a 1,500th of an ounce of gold. Unemployment is still high. Shakespeare couldn’t come up with a better plot.

But how in the world did Mrs. Palin, who is supposed to be so thick, manage to figure all this out so far ahead of the New York Times and all the economists it talked to?

She did this back in November in a speech at Phoenix, which the Wall Street Journal, in a laudatory editorial at the time, characterized as zeroing in on the connection between a weak dollar and rising prices for oil and food.

"We don’t want temporary, artificial economic growth brought at the expense of permanently higher inflation which will erode the value of our incomes and our savings," the Journal quoted Mrs. Palin as saying. "We want a stable dollar combined with real economic reform. It's the only way we can get our economy back on the right track." Now here is the New York Times quoting a raft of economists who have reached the conclusion that Mrs. Palin’s warning was right down the line.

It happens that Mrs. Palin’s demarche coincided with a piece in the Financial Times by the president of the World Bank, Robert Zoellick, suggesting that a new international monetary system centered on the major currencies "should also consider employing gold as an international reference point of market expectations about inflation, deflation and future currency values."

The FT is such a Keynesian bastion that the Journal likened Mr. Zoellick’s mentioning gold in its pages to mentioning Sarah Palin’s name at the Princeton Faculty Club. The FT issued an editorial attacking its own op-ed piece, while Mr. Zoellick’s scoop so startled the New York Times that it brought in no less a heavyweight than James Grant of the Interest Rate Observer to write a piece on the virtues of the gold standard.

Alone among general interest publications, the Drudge Report has been fronting the gold price almost daily. And now the Times itself is out with its a story about how the Fed’s quantitative easing has been a disappointment.

It may have, as the Times puts it, "pumped up the stock market, reduced the cost of American exports and allowed companies to borrow money at lower interest rates," but "those benefits have been surprisingly small." Will any of this bring some humility to the Fed and its chairman?

It will be something to watch for in his first big press conference Wednesday. No doubt it will be one of the most crowded press conferences in recent memory, and there will be lots to ask about. But one of the questions will be how in tarnation Mrs. Palin figured it out so far ahead of everyone else.
Sarah Palin figured it because she's not stupid! Far from it.

Unlike the Ruling Class and the Beltway elites, Sarah Palin still buys the family's groceries, puts gas in her car, and pays attention to the real world around her.

The really incredible part about this is she is not alone. Anyone with an ounce of common sense could have figured this out. Of course, that's really where the problem lies with America's political class. No one has a lick of common sense!

We're told that guys like Donald Trump, Mitt Romney, Mitch Daniels, and other dead end candidates are financial geniuses, and yet it's the housewife from tiny Wasilla, Alaska who is running circles around these "intelligent" candidates. All of these cats were hiding under their desks rather than hammering Obama and Bernanke over their dangerous fiscal policies.

At a time when we need leaders, only one has consistently proven to be one. Only one knows how to get out there and fight like a girl!
I'm always tickled by the artwork above, which appeared on the cover of the Economist after the 2010 election. It shows Sarah Palin leading the Republican posse as they come to take back Congress. I'm looking forward to the cover of their magazine after November of 2012.

Bristol Palin To Attend The WH Correspondents' Dinner?

By Gary P Jackson

It's that time again. In two weeks the annual presidential roast, known as the White House Correspondents' Dinner, that time of the year reporters pretend to make fun of the president, and the president in turn gets to make fun of them. Or in Barack Obama's case, thank them profusely for having his back!

Anyhow, much of the media is all excited because the Washington Post has invited Donald Trump to be it's date. Reading the list The Atlantic put together we were surprised to find the name Bristol Palin on the list. That should make for an interesting evening. Who knows, maybe she's checking out the lay of the land in preparation for President Palin's first Correspondents' Dinner.

Americans Stand With Trig Palin

This is OUR time...look at what we did for #TrigsCrew....that was us...not a political machine...us...

~ Janet Ney via Twitter
By Gary P Jackson

As you know, a vile website known as Wonkette decided to use the occasion of Trig Palin's birthday to attack the special needs child, as well as his mother. I wrote about the coming together of people on Twitter and how Trig's Crew was formed. These wonderful people were able to contact Wonkette's advertisers, who when shown the kind of sewer rats their dollars were funding, immediately took action.

As Stacy Drake points out, Wonkette is paying the price for attacking a child with Down Syndrome.

At last count, 46 major corporations have vowed to never advertise with this group again. These are some of the nation's biggest corporations, and all were horrified to see where their money was going.

It should be noted that no one threatened to boycott any of these companies. Members of Trig's Crew, the name people on Twitter started calling themselves, merely pointed out the article and asked if the companies were OK with this. 46 were not. You can see the list and any updates here.

If you are looking to do business with good people, I highly recommend checking out the list of great companies and doing business with them.

This evil act by Wonkette galvanized a large group of Americans who have said enough is enough.

Debbie Joslin, the National GOP Committeewoman for Alaska, and friend of the Palin's wrote a lovely letter in support that tells her own story of seeing a handicapped child bullied by thugs, which you can read here.

John Nolte talked with DaTechGuy on Saturday about all of this. John gives everyone a great accounting of how all of this came together. He also talks about the left's treatment [and fear] of Sarah Palin. listen to the entire interview here.

Of Course, the left has gotten indignant about it. I mean how DARE America get pissed off when a bunch of gutter snipes attack a disabled child!

Andrew Sullivan, a pathetic conspiracy theorist with an unhealthy fixation on Sarah Palin's uterus, and someone I refuse to link to, pulled out the old stand-by left wing talking point, that Sarah is just using Trig as a "political prop." No other politician in my memory, who has children, has ever been accused of using them as props.

Funny, during the 2008 race, Barack Obama had his children with him and no one saw that as anything but a father with his girls. But for some reason, it's all just political theater when Sarah Palin is involved. If Sarah had kept her children hidden, they would be attacking her for that, by the way. All the left knows how to do is attack. They have nothing else going for them.

Sullivan was quickly denounced by everyone in Trig's Crew, which freaked the left out. They became very concerned that Trig's Crew was about to take down Sullivan.

Even Sarah Palin's creepy stalker Joe McGinniss got into the act. McGinniss jumped into the fray by tweeting a link to a website run by a member of Obama's Alaska Mafia, the hand picked crew Obama and Pete Rouse put together to harass Sarah Palin. Our readers know the Alaska Mafia story well, so no need to go over all of that.

Anyhow, the website Immoral Minority is run by Jesse Griffin, a real winner who dabbles in amateur pornography, and was let go from his job at a day care center in Alaska. [for "undisclosed reasons"] He's behind many of the conspiracy theories surrounding Sarah. He used his buddy, Denis Zaki, a stringer for CNN, to help "mainstream" his many deranged assertions.

Griffin along with Shannyn Moore and Jeanne Devon were frequent visitors with McGinniss while he was in Alaska stalking Sarah Palin and her family. I asked McGinniss, via Twitter, if he was just upset that no one was paying attention to him. He responded he'd never been happier. I bet.

It's telling that all the usual suspects have decided to get involved in this.

The bottom line is, as Nolte points out in his interview with DaTechGuy, this is all about attacking Sarah Palin, and sending her the message that the left will "weaponize" her children when she runs for President. The left has nothing left. None of their attacks on her have worked, because none of them are based in truth. Understanding they can't compete in the marketplace of ideas, they have decided to pull out their dog eared copies of Alinksy's Rules For Radicals and attack.

The problem with this is Sarah Palin probably understands Alinsky better than these losers do. She has proven she can turn Alinsky type attacks on her, back on the attackers. The people who attack her do so at their own peril. Sarah Palin knows how to fight. She fights like a girl!

It tells you how morally bankrupt the left has become though. Having nothing going for them, no ideas, no solutions, they are reduced to attacking disabled children in hopes of beating Sarah Palin. It's rather sad, when you think about it.

All I know for sure is I witnessed something last week that renewed my faith in mankind. I saw thousands of people come together and make a real difference. I saw great companies react to a vile attack on a beautiful boy. I also saw a lot of people come together and realize they indeed had the power to stand up against evil.

A lot of people realized their voices matter.

A Most Wonderful Day

Social media has become an important part of our lives. Especially Twitter. I know a lot of folks spend time on Facebook networking, and hooking up, but Twitter is the undisputed king when it comes to getting information out fast, and is by far the best way to organize a group of people, and inspire them to act.

In the Middle East, Twitter was used with great effectiveness by Liberty and Freedom seeking protesters. People in Iran, Egypt, Bahrain, Syria, Saudi Arabia, and Libya have all used this social media to help effect change, or at least attempt change. The only reason some attempts failed is because the nation's leaders shut down internet access, thus thwarting this very effective communication tool.

This, by the way, is why many are extremely troubled by attempts in this country to give the president full authority to shut down the internet "in case of emergency,"a chilling thought with this president, but that's a whole different issue.

The story I want to tell, this wonderful coming together of good and decent people was actually several days in the making. You see, Sarah's beautiful son Trig just turned three years old! A nice time indeed.

Well, it seems the sewer rats over at Wonkette decided they'd "celebrate" Trig's birth as well. What's a "Wonkette" you ask? It's a vile democrat website that smears anyone and everyone they hate [it's a long list] hiding under the guise of "satirical license." They are the darling of the democrat party, and a shining example how morally bankrupt the base of the party has become.

It's one of those places that helped further the conspiracy that Sarah Palin is not really Trig's mother, something started by Barack Obama's hand pick crew in Alaska that we refer to here as the Alaska Mafia. [Google it] People like amateur pornographer Jesse Griffin, one of the Alaska bloggers, frequently see their delusional writing about Sarah Palin and her family "glorified' on this website.

To commemorate Trig's birthday, a really sick bastard by the name of Jack Stuef wrote what can only be called a despicable piece of crap. So vile it defies description.

One has to wonder what kind of sub-human trash would attack a 3 year old child with Down Syndrome, just because they have an irrational hatred for the child's mother.

This pile of human debris called Trig "retarded" then went into the whole "Trig Truther" nonsense, even going so far to suggest that maybe Todd Palin raped one of his daughters and thus, the whole cover up about who Trig's real mother was. He also included what I'd characterize mildly pornographic images next to Trig's likeness.

Oh, and this loser threw out the democrat's favorite talking point, that Trig is only a "prop" for Sarah and her family. You know, because no other person in politics has ever had family or brought them out in public.

The left would never be caught dead with someone like Trig in public. You wanna know how the sainted Kennedy family treated on of their children?

In 1941, when Rosemary Kennedy was 23 her father, Joe Kennedy, had doctors perform a lobotomy on the girl because she had "mood swings."

For what it's worth, I just had a mood swing writing this!

In the end, Rosemary lived her tormented life in an institution. Out of site and pretty much out of mind. After all, Joe couldn't have his sons JFK, RFK, and Teddy "embarrassed" by their sister.

The left's hatred for Trig [and Sarah] can be boiled down to the fact she chose not to murder this beautiful child as is the case with most Down Syndrome children. Around 90% of women who are told their children may be born with Down Syndrome chose to abort these babies. A tragedy of unspeakable magnitude.

The cult of death among liberals is also a cult of hatred for all who choose life. All of the hatred for Sarah, the attacks, the lies, are all because Sarah Palin, by keeping her beautiful son, reminds them how disgusting they truly are. It brings out the self loathing in them.

By the way, my newest fantasy is that Todd and Mr Stuef have the opportunity to meet some day. I'll leave it at that.

The face of today's democrat party

Now you're probably wondering where all of the "wonderful" is that I alluded to in the tittle. Well ....

First let me say that two of the real heroes of this story are John Nolte Editor-in-Chief for Andrew Breitbart's Big Hollywood and Derek Hunter from The Daily Caller These two got the ball rolling, and kept it rolling. with that said, this story has a cast of hundreds, if not thousands, including some great companies who sent a strong message to people that would attack a 3 year old disabled child!

It started early Wednesday, after the vile article had been discovered earlier. Twitter, being the vibrant network it is, went to work.

Now I want to point out early on, that mass calls for boycotts were not part of this effort.

People involved simply found out who the advertisers on that vile site were, and then found their twitter accounts and simply sent them a tweet, including a link to the article, asking them if this was the sort of thing they wanted to be involved with.

There was no intimidation, none of the thug tactics we've seen used by the union protesters nationwide. People simply showed these great companies how their hard earned dollars were being used. The sort of thing they were funding.

To their credit, in short order reps from the makers of Huggies and Papa John's Pizza were very vocal saying they wanted no part of it. Vangard Financial was right behind them.

Now before you ask why they were advertising in this cesspool to start with, you should know, they likely had no idea.

Our man on the East Coast, Greg Tartaglia, did a bit of digging and found that Ken Layne, the owner of the Wonkette hate site, also owns a company called Blogads. It's one of those companies, like Google Ads, that places advertising fairly randomly around the internet. Blog owners get a small piece of the pie as readers click on these ads. If you visit blogs that feature advertising, you've seen this company in action.

From their website:

Today Blogads.com connects 3500 blogs with a joyful stew of advertisers ranging from corporate giants to mom&mom T-shirt peddlers. Advertisers include NBC, Audi, PBS, Time Warner, JohnKerry.com, The Republican National Committee, The New Republic, Rhino Records, O’Reilly Media, Bagnews,Paramount Pictures, Random House, Network Solutions, Turner Broadcasting,eChristianWebhosting, Nokia, VH1, and Budget Renta Car.

Doesn't Layne's company sound so wonderful? A "joyful stew" even. [WTF?]

No one would ever know this guy was nothing more than a filth peddler, who traffics in hate, if they read this cheery little description.

As the Twitter effort gained steam, companies like Reliant Energy, Starkist Tuna, The San Diego Zoo, Holland America Cruises, Coldwell Banker and many more all joined in.

Here's a sample of some of their Twitter replies:

JJIll: "All: Please know we do not condone the Wonkette story. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. We have taken action to remove our ads."

Holland America Cruises: "Thanks for letting us known, we have blocked that page from running our ads."

Nordstrom: "Thanks for letting us know. The ads have been removed. We’re sorry to disappoint you."

Reliant Energy: "Thank you for alerting us. We did not choose this site and are working to have this removed immediately."

Bob Evans: "Our ad is not supposed to be running on that site. Agency has been alerted to pull it immediately."

Coldwell Banker: "We are in the process of pulling our ads from Wonkette."

DealSwarm: "We’ve pulled our ads from the site — we wouldn’t have approved them running next to that blog post. (Trig is a cutie pie.) Thank you for alerting us — we weren’t aware our ads were running alongside a blog post like that. Ads have been pulled."

MetroPCS: "We don’t condone @Wonkette, have removed the ad and ensured that our ads won’t appear on this site in the future. Thanks for bringing to our attention."

Oh, and there are many more.

As the day went on, the people at Wonkette really started to feel the heat. Eventually they would scrub the author's name from the story, as well as many of their fan's comments about Trig and the rest of the Palin family.

These scrubbed comments were actually as bad, if not worse than the original article, as hard as that may be to believe.

At this point the entire post has been deleted by the Wonkette crew.

The Huffington Post, CNN, and others, who gleefully reported Wonkette's "birthday greeting" have scrubbed the offensive mess from their websites as well.

Even Google scrubbed the original cashed link, something we didn't think was possible! The progressives were working over time to send this way down the memory hole.

Speaking of HuffPo, they were feeling the heat as well. The hate mongering site, who's creator is basically running AOL's news division now, announced they were banning all talk of Trig Trutherism. Ben Smith reports this here.

This is significant, because HuffPo and Wonkette trade in hateful attacks on Trig, and both have published shocking photoshopped "art" of the young man. If adhered to, this will be quite a blow to Obama's Alaska Mafia, as they have always been given carte blanche on the Huffington site to post any smear about the Palin's they could cook up!

Tommy Christopher from Mediaite, a left leaning website was even more forceful, going after Wonkette in a major way. Christopher separated the men from the boys with his very strong piece. Updated several times, it includes a back and forth between Mediaite and Wonkette's Ken Layne a morally bankrupt loser. This is a must read.

As the day went on, and as bloggers started reporting on this, more advertisers rejected Wonkette, and more hate started flying from the embattled group.

In particular, Wonkette's people were angered by Papa Johns Pizza, calling for the bottom feeders who read their website to boycott the company.

It's interesting to note Wonkette had no problem with taking their money, but as soon as they pulled out, they became the worst pizza on earth, and evidently developed homophobia too! I'm surprised they weren't called racists as well, but I guess since Wonkette seems to only hire white people ....

You can see screen grabs of Wonkette's tweets here.

The bottom line is this, within the confines of one business day, a whole bunch of good and decent people used Twitter to educate corporate America about a vile group of nasty democrats, and corporate America responded responsibly.

What really struck me was, unlike the strong-arm tactics we have witnessed lately by union thugs nationwide, no one was threatening companies or suggesting boycotts. People on Twitter simply showed these companies the content of the website, and it was on!

Other things started to happen as well, particularly with Papa Johns and Huggies. A whole bunch of people suddenly got hungry for Papa Johns Pizza, and Dana Loesch pointed out that diapers ain't cheap, and people should go to the store, load up the family truckster with Huggies, and take them to the nearest shelter that helps women with babies.

Thursday morning people were reminding others that food banks are always looking for Starkist Tuna packed in water. Having volunteered in a soup kitchen, I can attest to that myself. Something tells me a lot of shelters are going to benefit from this. Next time you go to the grocery store stock up and take some to the local shelter. Put some in your own pantry as well.

Something else that was just plain awesome, a real hero went out and bought the web domain http://jackstuef.com/ when you click on it, it redirects you to the National Down Syndrome Society's donation page!

Early on people were tweeting messages to Sarah telling her not to worry, we had her back. Wednesday evening, Sarah sent this tweet:

Big thanks from the Palin family to folks on Twitter today who took a stand for children w/special needs. Happy Easter!Thank you #TrigsCrew

In case you wonder, the #TrigsCrew hashtag, thanks to my hero, John Nolte, is now the identifier that we'll use on Twitter any time there is a call to arms to fight the kind of evil we saw from Wonkette!

A fitting way to celebrate the day thousands came together to stand up for what was right.

This tweet about Nolte kind of says it all:

Let the world know that @jjmnolte is a fully-functioning badass who can organize a community better than certain Presidents I know.

John, Derek, Dana and a cast of thousands renewed my faith in mankind, and made Wednesday a most wonderful day indeed.

There was a lot of reporting on this event. Far better writers than I.

John Nolte actually was quite prophetic by writing: Twitter Power: Mock the MSM and Watch Them Launch Phony Attacks against Sarah Palin. before the Wonkette story broke. This is a must read for everyone who wants to use Twitter as a tool to effect positive change.

Le-gal In-sur-rec-tion has a good look at the entire mess, and notes, as we have, this isn't the first time the crapweasels at Wonkette have attacked Sarah and Trig.

Dana Loesch kept up with the timeline of advertisers jumping ship, which you can read here.

Speaking of which, here is a list of companies that have stood up for decency and dumped Wonkette.

As of this writing, 32 companies have taken steps to see their advertising never appears on that website again. Send them a thank you and buy their products. Mention #TrigsCrew in your tweet.

Here's a partial list of Wonkette sponsors courtesy of Jersey-Texan-Mich-Mash. It includes those that have, and those that have not stopped advertising. There is also a link at the website to screen grabs of the Wonkette post, since they have scrubbed their website trying to act like it never happened, an old trick the Soviet Union was very good at. Check it all out here.

Life News has their take here.

Here's what Voting Female has to say.

Ad Age had their say.

Greg Gutfield hammered author Jack Stuef and Wonkette as only he can.

Iowahawk [David Burge] tweeted this little diddy poking fun at Stuef's kindergarten level artistic ability:

@iowahawkblog In which I attempt @wonkette-grade humor: portrait of Ken Layne and Jack Stuef http://bit.ly/fiswT

In closing, I have never been prouder of the American people. Just when you think evil is about to win, evil gets it's ass kicked.

I would be remiss if I failed to point out that all democrats aren't like the rabid base of the party. People like Mediaite's Tommy Christopher went ballistic. Fox's Kirstin Powers and even lefty Alan Colmes were quick to denounce Wonkette.

On the other hand, the GOP, as usual, was silent as one of their own was savaged. As Sarah says, the GOP has the fighting instincts of sheep.

There was one exception. Herman Cain was quick to join Trig's Crew and stand with all of us. A class act indeed.

This incident proves that it only takes a relatively small, dedicated, determined group to change things for the better. There were no threats of violence, no vicious name calling. Just good and decent people out there pointing out a grave injustice. It made me realize how strong the people are. How good America really is. How bright our future can be.

It was truly, and completely A Most Wonderful Day.
