NHRA Top Fuel Driver Antron Brown Offers Kyle Busch A Challenge

By Gary P Jackson

NHRA Full Throttle Top Fuel pilot Antron Brown is giving NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Kyle Busch some jazz. As race fans know, Busch is in a bit of trouble after a sheriff's deputy clocked him going 128 mph in a 45 mph zone.

On Thursday Antron offered Kyle a challenge to actually go fast when he tweeted:

Hey @KyleBusch, how about you strap into my dragster and go twice as fast in just 660'. Ride swap at Charlotte?

Brown is talking about the annual Coca-Cola 600 this weekend at Lowes Motor Speedway in Charlotte, N.C..

While a 700hp NASCAR Sprint Cup car is capable of speeds of 200 mph, an 8,000hp Top Fuel Dragster is capable of going from 0-100 mph in less than one second. and 0-250 mph in just over 3 seconds. They are capable of going 0-330 mph in 3.80 seconds over the 1000 ft race course.

In 660 ft, an 1/8 of a mile Brown's Top Fuel car would be running around 275 mph.

This would be quite the ride for Kyle!

Antron who raced Pro Stock Motorcycles before switching to Top Fuel, racking up many wins along the way, has always been one of our favorite drivers. No one enjoys winning more!

It'll be interesting to see if Kyle Busch will take Antron up on his offer.
