Sarah Palin Talks To The Liberty & Freedom Foundation In San Jose, California

They act like they're permanent residents of some unicorn ranch in Fantasy Land, if they really think they are going to be able to turn it around with the liberal policies that they want to continue!

On Thursday Sarah Palin talked to an enthusiastic crowd at the Center for the Performing Arts in downtown San Jose. The belly of the progressive beast.

The occasion was a fund raiser for the Liberty and Freedom Foundation.

The public forum was sponsored by the  Liberty and Freedom Foundation, whose executive director, Victor Cocchia, asked: "What better place to come to educate people as to the conservative message than the Bay Area, where conservatives are marginalized and not heard very often?"

Sarah hammered ObamaCare, calling it "the mother of all unfunded mandates." She also went after the failed $1 trillion stimulus bill and all the "shovel-ready projects" it was supposed to fund.

"Now we know what they were shoveling, and it wasn't asphalt!" Sarah added.

People in the crowd shouted in agreement. When one man hollered, "Throw the bums out!" Sarah replied, "Amen, brother. You betcha."

In a speech tailored to California interests, Sarah also lambasted the cutoff of water affecting millions of residents of the San Joaquin Valley because of "a two-inch fish," the Delta smelt.

"Where I come from," she said, "we call that bait."

As we've talked about on many occasions, environmental extremists have teamed up with the Marxists-democrats to absolutely destroy the once lush, green Valley, turning into what looks like a depression era dust bowl, complete with an unemployment rate of over 40%!

This in an area once called the "bread basket of the world."

We all suspect that Sarah, while working day and night to help facilitate a huge Conservative victory next month, is also prepping herself for a 2012 run for the presidency. Darali Phillips, 67, of Los Gatos, said Palin has her vote. "We just don't like what's going on in Washington," Phillips said, "and we want to change the tide of "big government taking more and more control of everything."

Terry Christensen, a political science professor at San Jose State, said: "I can think of only a handful of current politicians who have her celebrity status and star quality .... just Palin, Obama and the Clintons,"

An estimated 1,800 people came for the two-hour forum, during which Sarah answered questions from the attendees.

At a VIP reception at the Marriott Hotel afterward, attendees got a chance to meet Sarah and have pictures taken with her. That was followed by a dinner that included herb-roasted chicken breast and crm̈me brmlĂ©e cheesecake. This of course, raised additional funds for the foundation.

Our friends over at The Right Scoop have some exclusive video of the event where Sarah was really fired up, as were the people in the crowd! You can check that out by clicking here.
