California is at a major crossroad in this election, and the eyes of the nation are on this state because the Golden State has unfortunately become a case study in failed liberal policies.
This great state for generations has been the epitome of America’s optimism and entrepreneurial spirit. It has led the nation in agriculture, technology, and entertainment. But for years now California has been over-taxed, over-regulated, and overwhelmed by an ever increasing government bureaucracy.
Sound familiar? California can turn this around, and so can America. It starts in November. This is still Reagan Country!

On Saturday Sarah Palin spoke to an enormous crowd of supporters in Bakersfield, California, in the heart of the once thriving San Joaquin Valley, that now faces devastation and despair. The Valley, which was once called “the world’s bread basket” has been destroyed, turned into a modern day dust bowl, all because of the radical environmentalists, and a three inch bait fish, the Delta Smelt.
Workers in the Valley face an unemployment rate of over 40%, thanks to radicals and government run amok. You can read our report from September of 2009, here.
Things have not improved.
Sarah was in town to speak at a business conference, where she was introduced by conference organizer George Martin as: “The Next President of the United States.”

Sarah Palin, former Alaska governor and potential 2012 Republican presidential candidate, told thousands of supporters Saturday enough is enough. It's time to stick up for the "little guy."
Foreclosures are high, stimulus packages are doing nothing to help the nation bounce back and the budget deficit keeps climbing, Palin said. Americans are out of work, and those with jobs are in fear of losing them, she said.
"Little guys across America ... and momma Grizzlies are growling," said Palin, a leader of the Tea Party political movement, wearing the signature red power suit and rimless glasses. "We're going to protect our cubs."
"There comes a moment in time, a moment we feel today ... when we have to say enough is enough. And Bakersfield, enough is enough. You can take it back."

Palin slammed President Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and others for "Obama Care" and demanded "restoration." She called for firings starting Nov. 2, Election Day.
"Are we better off now than we were when Barack Obama took office?" she asked the crowd, which responded with a loud, 'No!'
The crowd snapped flash photos throughout her speech, which she gave in the "country music Capitol with the Bakersfield sound and Merle Haggard roots," she said. Palin touted former President Ronald Reagan, quoting him several times.
She talked about the "little man" who only wants a good job in his home town, but instead sees a country spending without asking, a bleak economic future, and borders that need protection.
Regarding local issues, Palin said California is rich with farm land, but a tiny fish is considered more important than thousands of Californians being fed, referring to the splittail fish at the center of Central Valley water controversy.
"I'm Alaskan, and I like my wildlife," she said. "But people are losing their farms, crops and livelihoods."
She asked why the "cocktail party" considers the Tea Party movement extreme.
"For believing in American exceptionalism?" Palin asked.
Palin, 46, was the first woman vice-presidential nominee of the Republican Party. Speculation has circulated that she will run for the Republican presidential nomination in 2012, but so far there's been no official call.
Conference organizer George Martin, however, introduced Palin as "the next president of the United States."
Charles Riley, 69 of Morro Bay, a supporter of Palin's since she first popped on the national political scene, hopes that's the case.
"She's exactly what the country needs -- a traditionalist," said Riley, who drove just to see her.
David Benson, an accountant from Bakersfield, said it doesn't matter whether she's a Democrat or Republican, or even if she runs for president. Palin is simply trying to get everyone on the same page, he said.
"She has helped ignite the fire this country needs," Benson said.
The year 2012, Palin concluded, will be one to "renew our pioneering spirit."
"We will win this year," Palin said. "Our best days are yet to come."
This sounds just as much like a campaign speech, as it does a get out the vote speech, if you ask me.
As we reported earlier, Sarah seems to be getting all of her ducks in a row for 2012, and a run for the presidency. Though not officially announced, she .... and everyone else .... need to remain focused on November and the landmark elections upcoming, there’s no denying she is ready to answer the calls of millions who have asked her to run over the last year.

Sarah ended the day by attending an event in San Diego for Combat Veterans For Congress, where she introduced Alaska senatorial candidate, Joe Miller.
Sarah is spending a good bit of time in California this month. California should be very much in play come 2012.
