"Gentlemen, we've got to protect our phony baloney jobs!"
By Gary P Jackson
The Republican Establishment™ has a new meme they are trying out. After months of assuring America that Sarah Palin is not going to run for President, no way, no how, errand boys Dick Morris and Karl Rove started singing a new tune late last week. Now they and a few others are convinced she's absolutely running. At least that's what they are telling the people that don't immediately change channels when either come on to pontificate.
There is a strategery behind all of this. The "she's running" has morphed into she will "absolutely be announcing" on September 3rd at the Tea Party event in Iowa. This is a set up, don't fall for it!
The establishment, and a handful of sycophantic bloggers, are pushing this nonsense hot and heavy. Again, do not fall for it!
The idea is to proclaim loudly that when the September 3rd event comes and goes, and Sarah is not an official candidate for President, that she is just "stringing her supporters along" and just trying to get some attention. Rove is already calling the event her "drop dead date" for announcing. This would be hilarious if it wasn't so patently dishonest.
It's funny, there was never a "drop dead date" for Rick Perry, and certainly no "drop dead date" for Chris Christie, or whatever GOP establishment candidate these people fantasize about. Only Sarah Palin has to do everything right now or it's over. Bear in mind, guys like Perry and Christie suffer from relatively low name recognition nationwide, and have an uphill battle, while Sarah Palin enjoys high name recognition, and a media that follows her every move, and reports it all breathlessly! Sarah has the luxury of not having to worry about exposure.
Still, Rove prattles on with his nonsense.
Since learning of the event, we've consistently said it would be cool if she announced there, but it was highly unlikely. There are many considerations as to why Governor Palin is waiting as long as possible to announce, not the least of which is the longer she hangs back, the more the other candidates are vetted, and America learns theses are not the people they are looking for. This has been a solid strategy from the get-go.
On more than one occasion Sarah has said when she makes her announcement, you won't be able to miss it. I take that to mean she has something pretty spectacular planned. That it will be a stand alone event.
Look for the speech in Iowa to be like her fiery "Game On!" speech in Madison, Wisconsin. Lots of red meat. I look for her to use this speech as a way to set the battlefield. What we must do, and how we must do it, if we are to Revive, Renew, and Restore America!
Now for some facts. We all know that Peter Singleton has been in Iowa for over a year building an incredible organization of dedicated supporters. These are not paid mercenaries, instead they are independent voters who are passionate about Sarah Palin, her message, her record, and her ability to lead. Not only are these people not paid, they are putting their money where their mouth is, and spending it towards their goal of electing Sarah Palin.
We also know that Singleton spent quite a bit of time with Sarah at the Iowa State Fair. It was the first time they've actually met. Governor Palin is well aware of the time, money, and effort members of Organize4Palin have put into all of this. In fact, back in July at the world premier of The Undefeated in Pella, Iowa, Real Clear Politics' Scott Conroy asked Sarah about Organize4Palin and if she wanted to tell them to stand down. Her response was to praise the group and tell then to keep up the good work.
I don't care if you love Sarah Palin or hate her, I think we can all agree that if she wasn't running, she is not the sort of person who would have allowed all of this to go on. Too many people have so much invested. She would have certainly said something.
Back to Peter's time with Sarah. He's been quite vocal saying he feels she's running. He obviously has to choose his words carefully, as there are legal considerations. He's also now openly recruiting people to join Organize4Palin, and getting set up to make calls to Iowa voters. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what is going on.
Singleton was a guest on the Tammy Bruce Show and told listeners point blank that if they were coming to Iowa thinking they will witness Sarah announce her candidacy, they should just stay home.
Monday, Iowa4Palin co-coordinator Michelle McCormick echoed Singleton's words by tweeting:
Reports of Gov. Palin "announcing" on 9/3 in IA are at best, speculative; at worst, mendacious. Come expecting a great speech-nothing more
The newest reports are there will be a "major announcement" at the September event. I have no insider knowledge, but do remember that in Pella, during an interview, Sarah said she had talked with a Tea Party group, likely Tea Party of America, about a combined bus tour. Again, I have no inside knowledge, but this may be what the big announcement is.
There is little doubt, among people who are actually paying attention, that Sarah Palin is running. There is also little doubt the Republican elites are running scared and will do absolutely anything to stop her and her supporters. These people know full well what she did in Alaska, taking on corruption at every level, and not caring which party the offending person belonged to. She even saw to it the GOP party chair paid the largest fine in Alaska history, for his misdeeds.
Guys like Rove and Dick Morris will have no place in a Palin administration. More terrifying, for them, is Sarah Palin represents a true move by the people to take our government back from the career politicians and corrupt insiders. If she is successful, and there is no reason to think she won't be, the elites, Rove, Morris, and others will become obsolete. The days of business as usual in Washington will be over.
This is why you can't afford to buy into what they are selling. The Republican Establishment™ will betray you every time.
Pete Rouse, and the part he played in "Troopergate" or as Sarah Palin calls it, "Tazergate" is what first prompted me to start blogging. It was all of the research into Rouse, Obama, and their direct involvement with all of the various crazies in Alaska, that made me realize just exactly what kind of evil America would be facing with the newly elected, and at the time not yet in office, Obama regime.
Pete Rouse is now Barack Obama's acting White House Chief of Staff, replacing Rahm Emanuel, who is leaving to run for Mayor of Chicago.
If you have been following Sarah Palin on Twitter, you'll know that she has been most concerned with the fact the media doesn't seem all too interested in the fact that Rouse, the ultimate D.C. insider, who hasn't lived in Alaska since Reagan was in office, still votes absentee in the state.
As Stacy Drake points out in this great piece on Rouse, ABC’s Jake Tapper, one of the very few actual journalists in the lamestream media, had questions for the White House about Rouse. Tapper not only asked White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs about Rouse's voting problems, but about the fact Rouse was part of the efforts to destroy Sarah Palin. As is his usual reaction to any question that requires the truth, Gibbs blew Tapper off, giving no real answer at all.
Let's learn a bit more about Rouse, the man some call the 101st Senator, through what his fellow travelers say about him.
The notoriously left wing Anchorage Daily News ran this puff piece on Rouse right after the election:
He once helped run state government in Juneau, played shortstop in a local softball league, and he still votes as an Alaska resident.
But these days, Pete Rouse works in the White House, two doors from his close friend, President Barack Obama.
For 25 years as the consummate Democratic insider in the U.S. Senate, Rouse played a quiet role as the backdoor connection for Alaska's all-Republican delegation to the other side of the aisle in Congress. He was the longtime chief of staff for Sen. Tom Daschle, D-S.D., the one-time Senate majority leader, and starting in 2004 Rouse took on the same job for a promising young freshman senator from Illinois.
Today, as special adviser to Obama, Rouse is in the innermost circle of the West Wing. His office sits between chief of staff Rahm Emanuel and communications director David Axelrod (for fans of "The West Wing" television series, that would be Josh Lyman's office).
His Alaska roots run deeper than those of almost anyone reading these words. His mother, the daughter of Japanese immigrants, grew up in Anchorage starting in World War I, when it was a railroad construction town. His cousin was the longtime municipal attorney for the City of Palmer.
But Rouse himself was born on the East Coast and had never been west of Denver when he flew to Alaska in late 1978 to visit a friend, Alaska's newly elected Republican lieutenant governor, Terry Miller.
Rouse ended up working as Miller's chief of staff for the final four years of Gov. Jay Hammond's administration. It was a great experience, Rouse said, a time when Juneau was filled with young idealists eager to grapple with the state's new oil money, infrastructure need and unformed social policies.
"Juneau at the time was 19,000 people, but it was really a town on the move in terms of young, well-educated people excited by these policy issues," he recalled.
[ ... ]
Rouse also brought a team of political veterans, many from the Daschle camp, into the Obama campaign.
"When Pete went to work for Barack, what Barack got — and I don't think he realized it — was the only network in Democratic circles that from both a policy and political perspective came close to the Clinton network," political consultant Anita Dunn told the Post recently.
By last August, Rouse had shifted to working full-time for the campaign. An Obama campaign trip to Alaska was almost a certainty, he said, until Gov. Sarah Palin was tapped for the Republican vice-presidential nominee. Pre-Palin, he said, the campaign felt it had a chance to win the heavily Republican state, based on the enthusiasm shown in caucuses for Obama.
[ ... ]
One of Rouse’s best friends in Alaska is state Sen. Kim Elton, D-Juneau. Rouse was the one who recruited Elton, a former journalist, into politics to work for Miller. Elton said Rouse is always eager for e-mailed photos of Romeo, the black wolf often photographed around Juneau.
Elton said he followed the presidential race through Rouse, backing Obama early on the strength of his friend's endorsement. But he told Rouse he couldn't talk about Palin once she was named to the Republican ticket. As chairman of the Legislative Council, Elton played a central role in the Legislature's "Troopergate" investigation of the governor, which Republicans complained was being run by Obama supporters.
You can read more of the ADN’s love letter to Rouse here.
Besides the syrupy nature of the Anchorage Daily News piece, one thing that stands out in this deal is the close, personal friendship Pete Rouse has with former State Senator Kim Elton. As the article points out, Elton played a key role in the "Troopergate" witch hunt. Of course Elton lies when he says he and Rouse didn't discuss "Troopergate." In an earlier piece I wrote: Sarah Palin, Barack Obama, And The Cost Of Fighting Chicago Thug Politics, I had this to say about Rouse, Elton and "Troopergate.":
Obama’s crew "reached out" to the Alaska State Troopers Union, no doubt using his ties to the incredibly corrupt SEIU/ACORN cabal as his calling card. Once Obama got involved, the slime machine went into overdrive.
A lot has been written, and as we all know, the so-called Branchflower Report, which claimed Sarah had broken no laws, but "overstepped her authority" was completely and totally discredited, by independent investigator, Timothy Petumenos, who was working on behalf of the Alaska State Personnel Board.
Not only did he find that Sarah had done nothing wrong in firing Walt Monegan, an "at will" employee who served at the pleasure of the Governor, and could be fired for any reason, or none at all, he also noted that the Obama smear crew, Elton, French, and the rest, had actually cited the wrong statute in their shameless attacks.
Didn't matter though. What Obama was looking for was an "October surprise" and he got it, as the bogus Branchflower Report was released just three days before the election. The damage was done.
For a "job well done" Barack Obama appointed Rouse’s buddy Senator Kim Elton to a make work job at the U.S. Department of the Interior. As we now know, this was the first of many such pay-play-deals the Obama regime would attempt. Think Blagojevich, Joe Sestak and Andrew Romanoff just to name a few.
Now our buddy Pete Rouse wasn't done though. Again, Rouse is connected in Alaska. Good old Pete was charged with creating what we call Obama’s Alaska Mafia. This is a group of hate bloggers, thugs, nerdowells, and Marxist-democrat party operatives.
These hate bloggers were given access to some of the nation's leading news organizations and told to crank out the lies, half truths, rumors, and hate. Most notably in this bunch are Jeanne Devon and Shannyn Moore, who were given access to the smut peddling Huffington Post, which Obama’s media partners often use as a "credible source."
We've written extensively about the Alaska Mafia, the hatemongers, and all of the dirty tricks, coordinated by Rouse, so I won't rehash, but if you'd like a good overview, read more here.
Pete Rouse, along with fellow "Alaskan" Anita Dunn, who helped former Alaska Governor Tony Knowles in his failed attempt to defeat Sarah Palin is her run for Governor, will likely play a key roles in the 2012 presidential election when Sarah Palin, the likely Republican nominee faces off with their boss, Barack Obama for the White House.
Americans need to keep an eye on Pete Rouse, Obama’s dirty tricks master, from now until the end of the Obama regime. He's proven he is capable of almost anything, and his network of Alaskan Marxists, and hate bloggers will be cranking it up to eleven the second Sarah Palin officially announces her campaign.
Speaking of that morally bankrupt bunch of losers, Naked Emperor News put together a great video that ties all of this together. Though Jeanne Devon fought, with some success, to have this thing banned, it's back on You Tube. This kinda says it all:
There have been so many dirty tricks orchestrated by Barack Obama, his staffers, minions, sycophants, and so on,....against Sarah Palin....that frankly we forgot about this loser until our friends over at Palin TV linked to this story out of Tennessee:
Former Alaska Governor and Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin is expected to be a witness at a University of Tennessee student’s internet fraud trial next month.
A motions hearing Wednesday addressed several procedural issues U.S. District Judge Clifford Shirley expects to rule on at a pre-trial conference in two weeks.
University of Tennessee student David Kernell, now 22, is accused of accessing Sarah Palin’s personal e-mail account (gov.palin@yahoo.com) while she was Sen. John McCain’s running mate. Palin was governor at the time.
Prosecutors contend Kernell answered some security questions, like Palin’s date of birth and where she met her spouse, then reset her password.
He’s accused of posting the new password on the internet so others could look at her e-mail account.
He faces four felonies: identity theft, wire fraud, computer fraud, and obstruction of justice.
If convicted on counts two and four of the indictment, Kernell faces a maximum punishment of 20 years in prison, a $250,000 fine, and 5 years of supervised release.
If convicted on counts one and three of the new indictment, Kernell faces a maximum punishment of 5 years in prison, a $250,000 fine and 3 years of supervised release.
One of the issues discussed at Wednesday’s hearing was whether the defense can serve trial subpoenas by Fed Ex or email instead of in person.
Defense attorney Wade Davies said, "There are people all over the country, including in Alaska, who are involved in this case."
Kernell’s defense attorney, Wade Davies, told Judge Clifford Shirley he may consider a so-called 12.2 defense. While Davies declined to elaborate, usually that means the intent to call expert witnesses to talk about a defendant’s mental condition.
The judge summed up a third issue the defense brought up: "Does the court have authority to issue an out of district search warrant?" Judge Shirley said. His ruling on that question could exclude some evidence in the case.
Kernell remains free until trial as long as he meets certain conditions, including using a computer only for class work.
David Kernell’s trial is set for April 20.
His father is a longtime Democratic State Senator from Memphis.
Now don’t weep for this weasel, he is connected as high as they can go. His father is Mike Kernell, a longtime Tennessee State Representative, and a democrat, of course. More importantly though, David, who is a student at the University of Tennessee appears to have ties to the highest levels of Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign. More on this in a second, but first lets take a stroll down memory lane.
Our friends over at HillBuzz were all over this at the time:
Like father, like son.
According to some great online detective work today, it seems SoetorObama supporter Mike Kernell, Democrat state representative from Tennessee (and active member of SoetorObama’s Tennessee campaign), confirmed his son David Kernell, student at University of Tennessee-Knoxville, hacked into Sarah Palin’s yahoo email account to help SoetorObama’s struggling campaign.
Kernell hoped to find political information he could pass to the SoetorObama camp, or anything he could embarrass Palin with by posting all over the Internet. It was his intent to neutralize Palin or force her off the ticket by finding damaging personal information that would win the election for SoetorObama.
[...]
Kernell hacked Palin’s email by patiently tricking Yahoo to give up Palin’s password: he answered repetitive security questions about Palin’s birthday, zip code, etc. until Yahoo allowed him into Palin’s account. Then, he changed Palin’s password to "popcorn". Get it? David Kernell…"popcorn". What a clever, clever boy!
Clever boys with doe-eyes and Boticelli curls do really well serving 1-4 years in federal prison for cybercrimes, we hear.
Word to the wise: if you are using Yahoo for email, you might want to switch to something more secure. If Kernell was able to hack into Palin’s account using public-knowledge about her, just imagine what someone who actually knows you could do to your own account. If you have an ex who wants to spy on you, he or she would know a lot more about you than Kernell knew about Palin, so hacking your account should be a lot easier for him/her. And for crying out loud, stop using your dog’s name as your password. It’s the first thing people try when hacking.
Something to think about…in addition to the fact that, like we have said for a year, the people SoetorObama attracts to his campaign are very similar to the type of thugs McGovern attracted in 1972. Though these people are not operating on direct orders from SoetorObama himself, the spirit of his campaign encourages this type of behavior, and prompts people like Kernell to commit what looks like three separate felonies in service of their ObaMessiah.
You can read a lot more from the Boys From Chicago here.
Terry Frank was all over this at the time and managed to get a lot of screen shots from the G.Gordon Liddy wannabe’s Facebook page. You can read more here.
As you read, you will notice commenter after commenter start referencing young David’s Technorati page and the fact that there appears to be more than a tenuous connection between David and Barack Obama’s campaign manager, David Plouffe.
In fact, a quick look though multiple sources will find references to this, and include a link:
Unfortunately, either Kernell or Technorati have scrubbed the website, and nothing on our master spy can be found. But, as luck would have it, the folks over at Libertarian Republican captured a screen shot:
In another bizarre twist to the Sarah Palin email hacking story, the prime suspect in the FBI investigation David Kernell of Tennessee, had a video produced by Barack Obama for President Campaign Manager David Plouffe on his Technorati Search Page.
Libertarian Republican blog interviewed Computer Applications Specialist Dave Kittley of Abilene, Texas this evening. Kittley discovered the video link late yesterday, and captured it in a screen shot. (The black pen markings on the screenshot are from Kittley).
Kittley asserts that it is a very strange coincidence that the Plouffe video would show up right on Kernell's Technorati page. One possible explanation according to Kittley: Kernell's name might be in the credits for the production of the Plouffe video.
Plouffe is known to be a big advocate of NetRoots, a gathering of Leftwing Bloggers, formerly known as Yearly Kos, who often engage in on-line mischief against political opponents. Obama produced a personal video to the NetRoots convention which was held in Austin, Texas the weekend of July 16. Kittley told LR that is entirely possible that Kernell might be a member of the NetRoots community.
Kittlery also pointed out to LR that the video, which encourages volunteers to become the "cavalry" of the Obama campaign, has since dissappeared from Kernell's Technorati page. He has the screen shot in his possession, and has graciously made the screenshot from yesterday available to LR and to a limited number of websites covering the Palin email hacking story.
Although there was a lot of effort to scrub things, thanks to the folks at Free Republic, we found the INCREDIBLY boring video of Plouffe rallying the troops. The one referenced on Kernell’s Technorati page:
That’s five minutes and forty-four seconds of my life I will never get back. This is the most boring man alive!
You’ll notice the video was posted about the time young David was violating Governor Palin’s privacy.
Obviously, there was a lot of reporting on this, at least on the conservative side of the aisle. Predictably, the Obamacentric "mainstream media" ran from this story like it was on fire!
As if this wasn’t interesting enough, David’s father, Big Mike Kernell is running for re-election at the same time his loser son is about to go on trial. His opponent, Memphis police officer Tim Cook, had this to say:
"When I heard the rumor that Mike Kernell's son was the one responsible for hacking into the Vice Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin's email I was stunned. As a father I sympathize with Mike Kernell and can understand what he is going through as a father. And I will pray for him and his family during this ordeal.
However, this clearly shows what family values Democrat Mike Kernell has taught his children. It reflects the values of his 34 years as a State Representative in and for the Democratic Party. These are not the type of values the citizens want in their representatives. ..."
Officer Cook went on to suggest a possible media conspiracy to ignore the alleged relationship between David Kernell and Obama campaign manager David Plouffe.
Ya think?
This is rather delicious to me, as it was just yesterday we started discussing the diabolical plans Obama has to scuttle Sarah Palin’s natural gas pipeline project, the largest construction project on North American history.
We took readers down memory lane and reminded them how Obama, his Senate (and campaign) Chief-of-Staff Pete Rouse, and a cast of Alaskan nerdowells went on a jihad against Sarah Palin the day she was announced as John McCain’s running mate.
We talked about the fact that Obama, personally got involved in the so-called "Troopergate" scandal, Sarah calls it "Tasergate" because her crazy brother-in-law had tasered her nephew, among just a few things. Obama is the one who called the state troopers union to "offer his assistance" to a brother union member.
We also talked about the fact that even though Sarah was cleared, and democrats Kim Elton, Hollis French, Beth Kerttula, Stephen Branchflower, and others were taken to the wood shed for hiding evidence that cleared Palin, and even used the wrong statute as the basis for their witch hunt, Barack Obama "rewarded" Kim Elton with a make work job at the Department of Interior. A little Chicago style pay-for-play.
Of course, no discussion of this fine group of individuals would be complete without reminding everyone that Pete Rouse, now a Senior White House adviser, basically founded, recruited, and coordinated the Alaska Mafia from his cushy D.C. office. Rouse used Mafia members to continually plant false stories about Sarah Palin in the media, as well as continually file all of those phony ethics complaints against her, complaints that would cost the Alaska tax payers over $2 million to deal with.
To this day, if you see a story about Sarah Palin that come from far left hate sites like the Huffington Post (which are then picked up by the "mainstream media") just know that Rouse, or one of his people has something to do with it. That’s how these people roll.
You can refresh your memory on all of this, and see what Obama’s latest gimmick is here.
You know, at the time it was all happening, naive Americans, like myself, thought for sure that the pay-for-play deal between Obama and Kim Elton, for Elton’s part in the false accusations against Sarah Palin, in an attempt to throw the election, who have been enough to take Obama down.
As we learned more about the Chicago thug politics, and Obama’s connection to the Alaska Mafia, we felt for certain someone in authority would step in. We were just that naive.
Now, as I finish this up I reflect on the fact that progressives, like Barack Obama, and his ilk, scream bloody murder when we lawfully wiretap terrorists who want to destroy America.
Wouldn’t it be ironic if the act that finally brings down the most corrupt president in American history is the illegal tapping into Sarah Palin’s e-mails on his behalf!
