Remember when the radical left wing, including our President, as well as the squishy, gutless Republican "moderates" lost their minds when Sarah Palin said she wasn’t all that happy to know that her special needs son and aging parents would have to stand before Obama’s "death panels" and be evaluated before they received care? Yeah, me too.
There was a herculean effort to demonize Sarah Palin and to cover up the fact that there are indeed "death panels" to be set up to run ObamaCare. By the way...RomneyCare, the blueprint for ObamaCare, also has the same "death panels" and the health care rationing is already in progress.
And that’s what this is all about. We’ve talked about Dr Death, Ezekiel Emanuel, Obama’s health care adviser, and the creator of the "Complete Lives System," which advocates health care rationing to the really young, the old (50 and over) and the disabled. This cold, calculating, document goes into great detail concerning who "deserves" health care and who doesn’t.
Obviously, "death panels" is a metaphor for this evil system of health re-distribution that will lower the quality of care nationwide while greatly increasing the cost to the consumer. It’s why three out of four Americans want this entire unconstitutional and decidedly evil mess repealed and replaced with common sense reform that doesn’t involve the total government takeover of our lives.

Massachusetts is already trying to deal with skyrocketing premiums courtesy of Mitt Romney’s boondoggle. The answer? Prohibit the insurance companies from raising premiums, of course!
Typical Marxist tactic. This is why communism has failed every time it has been tried. You can’t force companies to sell their products at a loss. They can’t stay in business. With that said, courts in the Bay State have upheld the ban on raising premiums. RomneyCare is fixin’ to become a serious problem for residents of the state.
Predictably, Congress is looking at the same thing. This will drive insurance companies out of business, which was the end game all along, and put hundreds of thousands, if not millions out of work. Of course, the Marxists tell you not to cry for these businesses, because they are "evil" and only care about money. Well, these "evil" businesses are owned by stockholders, the average man on the street, who either owns shares outright, or through their retirement plan’s investment. The sort of lunacy Congress is pursuing will collapse our entire economy, which...of course...is the plan.

Today, as Nick Gillespie noted earlier, Washington is shocked, SHOCKED to learn that the Affordable Care Act might not be as easy to pay for as promised. According to an AP summary, a new report "found that the law falls short of the president's twin goal of controlling runaway costs, raising projected spending by about 1 percent over 10 years. That increase could get bigger, since Medicare cuts in the law may be unrealistic and unsustainable, the report warned."
But didn't budget-hottie Peter Orszag warn us not to be swayed by such obviously false charges? After all, ObamaCare is fiscally responsible! What clan of knee-jerk critics could have produced such a report? The libertarians at Cato? The conservatives at Heritage? The neocons at AEI? The socialists at Physicians for a National Health Plan?
Nor did the report's bad news stop there. It also "projected that Medicare cuts could drive about 15 percent of hospitals and other institutional providers into the red, 'possibly jeopardizing access' to care for seniors." So when the President told AARP members that "nobody is talking about reducing Medicare benefits," presumably he meant nobody but, um, Medicare's chief actuary. But that doesn't really count, does it?
ObamaCare is a complete and total disaster, and it hasn’t even taken effect yet. It’s the typical product of the Big Government-Union-Industrial Complex. What’s sad is America had the canary in the coal mine to warn us. RomneyCare is a failure of biblical proportions, and it just keeps getting worse.
What makes us chuckle the most about this though is the fact that Sarah Palin, the hockey mom and moose hunter from Alaska, has once again proven to be smarter than her detractors. It’s funny, in her impassioned speech at the Republican National Convention, as she accepted the vice presidential nomination, she warned of the problems of electing Barack Obama, and the grave damage he, and his minions, would do to our country. So far every single ominous prediction she made has come true.
At some point one would think it would be prudent for the so-called "smart people" to start listening to this woman when she speaks. She’s batting 1000 so far.
Lloyd Marcus is one of the strongest voices in the Tea Party movement. Those in the know understand that the Tea Party is made up of Patriotic Americans from all walks of life. Race, gender, and even political party affiliation, place no barriers on those who love their country and want to stop this out of control, drunk with power President, and Congress.

By The way, as absolutely zero evidence of racial slurs being hurled at black Congressmen has surfaced, media mogul Andrew Breitbart has raised his reward to $100,000 for the first person who can produce evidence of said incident. The $100,000 reward will go to the Negro College Fund.

A Black Man, The Progressive's Perfect Trojan Horse
As millions of my fellow Americans, I am outraged, devastated and extremely angry by the democrat's unbelievable arrogance and disdain for We The People. Despite our screaming "no" from the rooftops, they forced Obamacare down our throats. Please forgive me for using the following crude saying, but it is very appropriate to describe what has happened. "Don't urinate on me and tell me it's raining." Democrats say their mission is to give all Americans health care. The democrats are lying. Signing Obamacare into law against our will and the Constitution is tyranny and step one of their hideous goal of having as many Americans as possible dependent on government, thus controlling our lives and fulfilling Obama's promise to fundamentally transform America.
I keep asking myself. How did our government move so far from the normal procedures of getting things done? Could a white president have so successfully pulled off shredding the Constitution to further his agenda? I think not.
Ironically, proving America is completely the opposite of the evil racist country they relentlessly accuse her of being, progressives used America's goodness, guilt and sense of fair play against her. In their quest to destroy America as we know it, progressives borrowed a brilliant scheme from Greek mythology. They offered America a modern day Trojan Horse, a beautifully crafted golden shiny new black man as a presidential candidate. Democrat Joe Biden lorded Obama as the first clean and articulate African American candidate. Democrat Harry Reid said Obama only uses a black dialect when he wants.
White America relished the opportunity to vote for a black man naively believing they would never suffer the pain of being called racist again. Black Americans viewed casting their vote for Obama as the ultimate Affirmative Action for America's sins of the past.
Then there were the entitlement loser voters who said, "I'm votin' for the black dude who promises to take from those rich SOBs and give to me".
Just as the deceived Trojans dragged the beautifully crafted Trojan Horse into Troy as a symbol of their victory, deceived Americans embraced the progressive's young, handsome, articulate and so called moderate black presidential candidate as a symbol of their liberation from accusation of being a racist nation. Also like the Trojan Horse, Obama was filled with the enemy hiding inside.
Sunday, March 21, 2010, a secret door opened in Obama, the shiny golden black man. A raging army of democrats charged out. Without mercy, they began their vicious bloody slaughter of every value, freedom and institution we Americans hold dear; launching the end of America as we know it.
Wielding swords of votes reeking with the putrid odor of back door deals, the democrats landed a severe death blow to America and individual rights by passing Obamacare.
The mainstream liberal media has been relentlessly badgering the Tea Party movement with accusations of racism. Because I am a black tea party patriot, I am bombarded with interviewers asking me the same veiled question."Why are you siding with these white racists against America's first African American president?" I defend my fellow patriots who are white stating, "These patriots do not give a hoot about Obama's skin color. They simply love their country and oppose his radical agenda. Obama's race is not an issue".
Recently, I have come to believe that perhaps I am wrong about Obama's race not being an issue. In reality, Obama's presidency has everything to do with racism, but not from the Tea Party movement. Progressives and Obama have exploited his race from the rookie senator's virtually unchallenged presidential campaign to his unprecedented bullying of America into Obamacare. Obama's race trumped all normal media scrutiny of him as a presidential candidate and most recently even the Constitution of the United States. Obamacare forces all Americans to purchase health care which is clearly unconstitutional.
No white president could get away with boldly and arrogantly thwarting the will of the American people and ignoring laws. President Clinton tried universal health care. Bush tried social security reform. The American people said "no" to both president's proposals and it was the end of it. So how can Obama get away with giving the American people the finger? The answer. He is black.
The mainstream liberal media continues to portray all who oppose Obama in any way as racist. Despite a list of failed policies, overreaches into the private sector, violations of the Constitution and planned destructive legislation too numerous to mention in this article, many Americans are still fearful of criticizing our first black president. Incredible.
My fellow Americans, you must not continue to allow yourselves to be "played" and intimidated by Obama's race or the historical context of his presidency. If we are to save America, the greatest nation on the planet, Obama's progressive agenda must be stopped.

Race is a powerful weapon, and the Marxist-democrats, "progressives," as Marcus calls them, have consistently beat the American people over the head with it for generations. Writers like Karl Marx, the father of communism, and Saul Alinsky, whose Rules for Radicals is the modern day bible for the left, implore disciples of their perverted ideology to use race as a weapon.
This method of oppression is beyond evil.
What the Marxist-democrat party has done to America, by using race as a weapon, and blacks as human shields, is no less as despicable and disgusting than al Qaeda terrorists who hide among civilian populations to avoid being captured or killed. Or Hamas terrorists who hold innocent civilians hostages, while they use their homes as bases to launch missiles into Israel, knowing no one will shoot back, in fear of harming the innocent.
These vile Marxist-democrats, "progressives," if you will, have divided the American people in ways they would never be naturally. They have divided all of us, because a divided people are an easier people to conquer. These Marxists know if the American people were allowed to just be themselves, without being constantly being assaulted and distracted with race, gender, and class warfare, we would never, ever allow these people to remain in power. In fact, without this evil war on the nation, these Marxist devils would have never gotten their foot in the door in the first place.
In order to succeed, the Marxists must turn the American people against one another, for if we are all separated, and fighting each other, we won’t be able to fight them. It is the work of the devil himself. We must no longer fall into these traps set for us by these anti-American elements. We must unite in the common cause of ridding this nation of this ideology.
The worst purveyors of this disgusting practice are the Marxist-democrats' media partners in general, and MSNBC in particular. Their hosts and commentators go out of their way to stir up racial tensions where there are none. They never miss an opportunity to proclaim that Tea Party patriots, and Sarah Palin supporters are all "white." When they aren't calling patriotic Americans "teabaggers" that is. Obviously, this is an incredible lie.
Again, anyone who is involved with the Tea Party movement knows the only requirement to join is a love for this great country, the Constitution, and the rule of law.

There is a reason why we and millions more refer to Sarah as the leader of the free world. Sarah Palin consistently speaks to the liberty and freedom our founding fathers fought and died for. Like the great Ronald Reagan before her, Sarah brings optimism and a can do spirit that is sorely lacking in others.
Sarah Palin sees America as "that shining city on a hill" that Reagan often spoke of.
Sarah also brings her competitive, never say die, spirit to the fight. No road is too long, no mountain is too high. Sarah inspires us all with her grit and determination. Watching her, a woman who grew up in a simple log cabin in the Alaskan wilderness, and rose to the highest levels of power and achievement, inspires us all to do our best each and every day, to work hard toward our goals, and to enjoy life to the fullest while we do it. She reminds us we all have the power to succeed.
America is the greatest nation ever to exist. Only in America does the opportunity exist to start with nothing and become everything. No other nation, now, or in history has empowered it’s citizenry in the way our nation has empowered them.
That all started changing today though. The moment Obama signed the legislation, liberty and freedom was dealt a massive blow, some say a mortal wound. Some say liberty and freedom are now dead and buried.
I however, refuse to say that. Liberty and freedom have been severely wounded, but there is plenty of time to heal them. The treatment for this, the prescription, if you will, is a thorough cleansing, starting with Congress.
We must rid Congress from all of those who would desecrate our Constitution and all of those who would see to grow government further. This includes progressives in BOTH parties. Anyone who disrespects the American people and seeks to go against their will.
Then we must remove these dangers to our liberty and freedom at the state and local level.
In other words, just as we must defeat each and ever democrat, at every level! We must also defeat the progressive Republicans. They are just as bad, because they enable the democrats in their insanity.
The time for timidity is over folks, we must be bold, we must be courageous. We can no longer sit back and allow these intolerable acts to be forced upon us. Our nation’s survival demands it!

Like most Americans, I sat in total disgust last evening as radical communists cheered. The most radical and destructive government ever assembled in this greatest nation on earth voted to destroy it all last night, and then celebrated!
It was vile, it was hateful. It was disgusting, and it was distasteful.
Of course, we knew it was coming. The second voters elected this Marxist Congress way back in 2006 we knew we were in big trouble. And it didn’t take long either. Historically low unemployment and the longest period of economic growth in our nation’s history quickly reversed, and thanks to policies put in by the newly minted democrat Congress, the economy faltered then collapsed. This has resulted in unemployment numbers not seen since the Carter years.
Then in one of the biggest collective mistakes in human history, American voters voted in Barack Obama. The reasons why many voters fell for this Communist’s nonsensical chants of "hope and change" and promises of rainbows and unicorns in a Utopian paradise are unimportant now, as Sarah Palin is fond of saying, they just got snookered!
Palin, and frankly, millions of us regular people, tried to warn America about this un-American Marxist and the destruction he would visit on this nation. We knew about his radical associations and his Marxist upbringing by a mother, father and grandparents who were all active members of the Communist Party. We all knew that Obama’s mentor Frank Marshall Davis was an anti-American communist, so radical he was tossed out of the NAACP!
We all knew that Obama actively sought out other radicals in his college years, as well as later in life. We knew Obama "palled around with" murdering domestic terrorist William Ayers and his convicted cop killer wife, Bernardine Dohrn, who was once on the FBI’s "10 Most Wanted" list. We even knew that Obama’s wife, Michelle, worked with Dohrn in Chicago, and the Obama’s allowed the Ayers/Dohrn combo to babysit their kids!
We all knew about Obama’s radical America hating preacher of 20 plus years, the Reverend Jeremiah "God Damn America" Wright. And of course we all came to know all of Wright’s church’s anti-American and anti-Semitic stances, and how Wright and his church cozy up to Hamas. We also learned that "Black Liberation Theology" was nothing more than Marxism, communism, dressed up in a marginally more palatable package.
In other words, we all knew that Obama, from the time he was just an innocent child, a babe in his mother’s arms, was marinated in Marxist ideology and anti-American hatred, as well as anti-Semitism. We knew that Obama was trained from birth, by his America hating kinfolk and all of their friends to be what he is today: A radical Communist dedicated to the complete destruction of our way of life. It’s what he was trained to do. It’s how he was raised and groomed for life.
So.......the events of the past few days come as no shock to Conservatives, we saw this man and his Congress for what was he and they were, from day one.
There is great news though. Thankfully, while Americans may get distracted at times, and not pay attention to thinks of a political nature, at this point, they are fully and completely engaged. Men and women who have never been political in their lives are stepping up and speaking out.
No better example of this was the major protest that took place in Washington Saturday and Sunday, with only 24 hours notice, over 25,000 people rallied to fight against this unconstitutional government take over of 20% of our economy and 100% of our lives.
Do not despair, dear readers, the fight is not over, it’s only just begun. Sarah Palin issued a rallying cry today. A real reminder that we all must take a stand against these radicals and defeat them at every turn and on every level:
Out-of-touch Congress Sounds Our Clarion Call to Take a Stand

We’ve been reminded many times that elections have consequences. Yesterday we saw the consequence of voting for those who believe in "fundamentally transforming" America whether we want it or not. Yesterday they voted. In November, we get to vote. We won’t forget what we saw yesterday. Congress passed a bill while Americans said "no," and thousands of everyday citizens even surrounded the Capitol Building to beg them not to do it. Has there ever been a more obvious exhibition of a detached and imperious government?
In the weeks to come, we can expect them to try to change the subject, but we won’t forget. Don't let them move on to further "transformational" steps while forgetting what Congress just did against the will of the people. Though Obamacare will inflict billions in new taxes on individuals and employers, at least it creates some jobs: the IRS might have to hire as many as 16,000 new employees to enforce all the new taxes and penalties the bill calls for! And that doesn’t include all the other government jobs from the 159 new agencies, panels, commissions and departments this bill will create. As the private sector shrinks, we can count on government to keep growing along with the deficits needed to keep it all afloat. (Is this the kind of "change" Americans asked for?)
In the end, this unsustainable bill jeopardizes the very thing it was supposed to fix – our health care system. Somewhere along the way we forgot that health care reform is about doctors and patients, not the IRS and politicians. Instead of helping doctors with tort reform, this bill has made primary care physicians think about getting out of medicine. It was supposed to make health care more affordable, but our premiums will continue to go up. It was supposed to help more people get coverage, but there will still be 23 million uninsured people by 2019.
Though they’d like us to forget, we will remember the corrupt deals, the corrupt process, the lack of transparency, the deceptive gimmicks to game the CBO score, and the utter disregard for the will of the American people. Elections have consequences, and we won’t forget those who promised to hold firm against government funding of abortion, but caved at the last minute in exchange for a non-binding executive order promised by the most pro-abortion president to ever occupy the White House.
All along we’ve said that we want real health care reform, but this isn’t it. We mustn’t be discouraged now. We must look to November when our goal will be to rebuke big government’s power grab, reject this unwanted "transformation" of America, and repeal dangerous portions of Obamacare that will bury us under more Big Government control.
This is just the beginning of our efforts to take back our country. Consider yesterday’s vote a clarion call and a spur to action. We will not let America sink into further debt without a fight. We will not abandon the American dream to government dependency, fewer freedoms and less opportunity. Change is made at the ballot box. If we work together, we can renew our optimistic pioneering spirit, revive our economy, and restore constitutional limits.

I know the communists are out there claiming a great victory, and dismissing all of us, the American people, as sore losers. They know this ObamaCare fiasco will destroy us all.
Not only was ObamaCare shoved do America’s throat, against the will of the American people, it was done without a single Republican vote, or the vote of many democrats who actually have some sense of the difference between right and wrong, good and evil.
In other words, not only was there no bi-partisanship, the radical communists couldn’t even get all of the members of their own party to go along! In fact, to pass the bill on a pure partisan, party line vote, billions of tax payer dollars YOUR dollars, were spent bribing Senators and congressmen for their votes!
This is the most corrupted process in our nation’s history.
The good news is no one is going to take this lying down. Last night Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott announced he had initiated a conference call with many of the state Attorneys General around the country and they had come to the decision to launch a multi-state lawsuit:
Just got off the AG conference call. We agreed that a multi-state lawsuit would send the strongest signal. We plan to file the moment Obama signs the bill. I anticipate him signing it tomorrow. Check back for an update at that time. I will post a link to the lawsuit when it is filed. It will lay out why the bill is unconstitutional and tramples individual and states rights.
The Washington Postnotes this morning that 11 states are prepared to file suit the moment ObamaCare becomes law:
Ten of the attorneys general plan to band together in a collective lawsuit on behalf of Alabama, Florida, Nebraska, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah and Washington.
"To protect all Texans' constitutional rights, preserve the constitutional framework intended by our nation's founders, and defend our state from further infringement by the federal government, the State of Texas and other states will legally challenge the federal health care legislation," said Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott, in a statement.
The Republican attorney generals say the reforms infringe on state powers under the Constitution's Bill of Rights.
Virginia Attorney General Kenneth Cuccinelli, who plans to file a lawsuit in federal court in Richmond, Virginia, said Congress lacks authority under its constitutional power to regulate interstate commerce to force people to buy insurance. The bill also conflicts with a state law that says Virginians cannot be required to buy insurance, he added.
"If a person decides not to buy health insurance, that person by definition is not engaging in commerce," Cuccinelli said in recorded comments. "If you are not engaging in commerce, how can the federal government regulate you?"
WaPo goes on to note:
In addition to the pending lawsuits, bills and resolutions have been introduced in at least 36 state legislatures seeking to limit or oppose various aspects of the reform plan through laws or state constitutional amendments, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures.
So far, only two states, Idaho and Virginia, have enacted laws, while an Arizona constitutional amendment is seeking voter approval on the November ballot. But the actual enactment of the bill by President Barack Obama could spur more movement on the measures by state lawmakers.
As you can see, the real fight has just begun. Liberty and freedom are worth fighting for and those who would deny Americans their God given right to their freedom and liberty, as guaranteed by our Constitution, must be defeated and their regimes destroyed.
We are more than up to this fight ladies and gentleman, and more than willing to go the distance, doing what we must to defeat the communists and destroy, once and for all, their ability to poison this nation with their sick ideology.

In a brand new survey published by the New England Journal of Medicine as many as 46% of all primary care physicians feel that passage of Barack Obama’s unconstitutional health care fiasco will cause them to leave the profession.
This latest survey, performed by the Medicus Firm, a leading physician search and consulting firm based in Atlanta and Dallas, is consistent with a survey taken in September of 2009 and published in Investor’s Business Daily:
45% Of Doctors Would Consider Quitting If Congress Passes Health Care Overhaul
Two of every three practicing physicians oppose the medical overhaul plan under consideration in Washington, and hundreds of thousands would think about shutting down their practices or retiring early if it were adopted, a new IBD/TIPP Poll has found.
The poll contradicts the claims of not only the White House, but also doctors' own lobby — the powerful American Medical Association — both of which suggest the medical profession is behind the proposed overhaul.
It also calls into question whether an overhaul is even doable; 72% of the doctors polled disagree with the administration's claim that the government can cover 47 million more people with better-quality care at lower cost.
The IBD/TIPP Poll was conducted by mail the past two weeks, with 1,376 practicing physicians chosen randomly throughout the country taking part. Responses are still coming in, and doctors' positions on related topics — including the impact of an overhaul on senior care, medical school applications and drug development — will be covered later in this series.
Major findings included:
• Two-thirds, or 65%, of doctors say they oppose the proposed government expansion plan. This contradicts the administration's claims that doctors are part of an "unprecedented coalition" supporting a medical overhaul.
It also differs with findings of a poll released Monday by National Public Radio that suggests a "majority of physicians want public and private insurance options," and clashes with media reports such as Tuesday's front-page story in the Los Angeles Times with the headline "Doctors Go For Obama's Reform."
Nowhere in the Times story does it say doctors as a whole back the overhaul. It says only that the AMA — the "association representing the nation's physicians" and what "many still regard as the country's premier lobbying force" — is "lobbying and advertising to win public support for President Obama's sweeping plan."
The AMA, in fact, represents approximately 18% of physicians and has been hit with a number of defections by members opposed to the AMA's support of Democrats' proposed health care overhaul.
• Four of nine doctors, or 45%, said they "would consider leaving their practice or taking an early retirement" if Congress passes the plan the Democratic majority and White House have in mind.
More than 800,000 doctors were practicing in 2006, the government says. Projecting the poll's finding onto that population, 360,000 doctors would consider quitting.
Before we move on to the latest Survey, let’s think about this a minute. We are supposedly adding as many as 30 million new patients to a health care system that already has a massive shortage of qualified doctors and nurses. That means that if things just remain the same, and no one quits, our health care system will be strained to the breaking point.
Think longer waits for appointments and less time for you to spend with your doctor at an appointment. As resources are finite, rationing of care will become a reality. And I’m not talking about the super-duper, double throw down expensive treatments that our progressive friends always throw out there as examples, when saying insurance companies already ration care, I’m talking about basic care.
BTW, insurance companies don’t "ration care." They may refuse to pay for treatment, but they can’t actually stop someone from getting any treatment. As it is now, there are many charitable organizations that will step in and help patients who need treatment, but don’t have the money to pay for it. Few people are absolutely refused medical care in this country.
Under ObamaCare, government panels will actually stop patients from being treated if they deem them "unworthy."
Now, take this already strained situation, and then take away half of the doctors, and you have a crisis on your hands. Quite simply, people will go untreated for any number of conditions, due to the lack of doctors. This is "death panels" by proxy!
So what happens when half the doctors quit? Chaos.
Right now America has the best health care in the world. We have hard working, dedicated men and women who are truly the tops in their field. If these folks are forced out of medicine, the rush will be on to replace them. But with who?
Like other nations with socialized medicine, and the sub-par working environment and wages that goes along with it, we’ll have to import our doctors. Many of the imported doctors will come from third world countries and the Middle East. Now some of these people are indeed fine doctors, but not all of them.

Key Findings from The Medicus Firm Survey
Physician Support of Health Reform in General
• 62.7% of physicians feel that health reform is needed but should be implemented in a more targeted, gradual way, as opposed to the sweeping overhaul that is in legislation.
• 28.7% of physicians are in favor of a public option.
• 3.6% of physicians prefer the "status quo" and feel that the U.S. health care system is best " as is."
Health Reform and Primary Care Physicians
• 46.3% of primary care physicians (family medicine and internal medicine) feel that the passing of health reform will either force them out of medicine or make them want to leave medicine.
Health Reform, Public Option, and Practice Revenue/Physician Income
• 41% of physicians feel that income and practice revenue will "decline or worsen dramatically" with a public option.
• 30% feel income will "decline or worsen somewhat" with a public option.
• 9% feel income will "improve somewhat" with a public option, and 0.8% feel income will "improve dramatically" with a public option.
Health Reform, Public Option, and Physician Supply
• 72% of physicians feel that a public option would have a negative impact on physician supply, with 45% feeling it will "decline or worsen dramatically" and 27% predicting it will "decline or worsen somewhat."
• 24% of physicians think they will try to retire early if a public option is implemented.
• 21% of physicians would try to leave medicine if a public option is implemented, even if not near retirement age at the time.
Health Reform and Recommending Medicine to Others as a Career
• 36% of physicians would not recommend medicine as a career, regardless of health reform.
• 27% would recommend medicine as a career but not if health reform passes.
• 25% of physicians would recommend medicine as a career regardless of health reform.
• 12% would not recommend medicine as a career now but feel that they would recommend it as a career if health reform passes
Some key take-aways: Reflecting the sentiments of most Americans, nearly 63% of physicians believe health care reform is indeed necessary, but in targeted areas, using common sense, not in a sweeping overhaul that would drastically change our system and quality of care.
Notice one of the things that is glaringly absent from ObamaCare? That’s right, lawsuit reform, tort reform, if you will. Tort reform alone would see many positive benefits. Cost of care would go down dramatically, not only because doctors wouldn’t have to run so many tests, a CYA measure to protect them if they get sued, but the drastic reductions in malpractice insurance would be passed on as savings to the consumer.
Texas enacted sweeping tort reform in 2003, and the results have been very positive. Doctors have flocked to Texas in droves, many moving to under-served regions. The relationship between the doctor and patient has improved. Costs have been reduced as well.
Again, nearly half of these doctors think the conditions created by this Obama caused disaster would force them to leave their profession. I can tell you, as someone who lives in a "hospital town," a city where one of Texas’ largest hospital systems is headquartered, I have yet to talk to anyone in the medical profession who is for ObamaCare in any way shape or form.
Doctors are really worried about a decline in their income, and they should be. These doctors will be paid on a scale that mirrors Medicare. That’s already a money loser, which is why health care costs for everyone else are higher. They have to make up for the losses somewhere. Put the entire industry on that sort of pay plan and it will be unsustainable.
Not surprisingly, 3/4 of those surveyed, 72%, feel this fiasco will effect "physician supply" (the amount of doctors to treat patients) with almost half saying this situation could "worsen dramatically"
Another telling statistic is the fact that over 1/3... 36%, would discourage others from entering the profession! That’s not hard to believe at all. According to Kevin Perpetua, managing partner for the Medicus Firm, the average debt a newly minted doctor enters the real world with is a whopping $140,000. And let’s not even talk about all of the extra time, in years, it takes to become a doctor. It’s hard work.
Being a doctor is a noble profession, one of life’s higher callings, but let’s be real, for $140,000 you can buy a really nice home. Why would someone want to study for a profession that will put them in huge debt before their first job, and make them work long hours, if their financial reward will be shrinking and shrinking, and their working conditions deteriorating? It doesn’t make sense.
Of course, this is most likely why the democrats have added a complete and total takeover of the student loan industry as part of their "health care reform." That’s right, as part of reforming health care, the democrats will outlaw the private student loan business. Only the federal government will be allowed to loan students money for higher education! What could go wrong here?
How long before good old Uncle Sugar starts telling American students what sort of field they must study for? "You want to be an auto mechanic? Sorry sonny, we already have too many of them, how about a nice job in sanitation management!" Think it can’t happen? Go read some history. I suggest a look at the Soviet Union, for starters.
How long before our out of control government declares a "crisis" because half the doctors quit, and decides to not only force students into the medical field (if they want a college education) but demand taxpayers foot the bill? You know, "for the children." My guess, not long.
Oh, and by the way: "You want to live and work in Texas?.....Sorry, they have enough doctors....we need you to move to Massachusetts, if you want a job." Nothing against the Bay State, but.....

ObamaCare is a complete and total disaster. As someone else pointed out recently, it will have the efficiency of the Post Office and the compassion of the IRS. The same IRS who just stormed a Sacramento, California car wash to collect 4 cents in back taxes!
We’ve been saying it for a solid year, and will continue to say it. The progressive/communist’s goal in passing this monstrosity is not to provide quality health care for all. Their goal, Obama’s goal, is to gain complete and total control of society through a centralized command and control style of government. This is exactly opposite of the Representative Republic our founders gave us, as outlined by our Constitution.
Progressive/communists, such as those in power in Washington, are psychopaths. They honestly and sincerely believe they are superior to "the little people." This bunch believes that only they have the "enlightened sophistication" to make decisions that effect all of our lives. In other words, they think we are too stupid to think for ourselves, and need their "masterful guidance" in order to survive. They want to control our lives at every level. What we eat, what we drink, what we drive, how we dress, and on, and on. Once started, it will never, ever stop.
Seems like America did quite well without this bunch. American became the envy of the world without them. In fact, many of America’s greatest problems coincide with the start of the progressive/communist movement. Imagine that.
Americans, by nature, love freedom. Our nation was founded on freedom and liberty. The very thought of being shackled by an oppressive, tyrannical government, such as the one Obama and his Congress is offering, no matter how "well intentioned," is hateful.
We simply cannot allow the federal government to continue to usurp the Constitution and our individual rights. The time for talk is long gone. It’s time to act, and act now. It’s time to kill this illegal legislation, and start cleaning house.
We need to cleanse this nation of the progressive/communist movement that threatens our very way of life. We need to vote these people out of power in every election, be it national, statewide, or local. We must take our nation back one precinct at a time, and restore the God given liberty and freedom guaranteed to us in the Constitution.
